over the course of the last month i was staying in residences, and for the first time in eons was exposed to television (i dont have tv at my house, never really have.)

i cant believe how much crap there is on tv, but i think what is the most disgusting is the fact that EVERYTHING is being remade these days. is it just me or is hollywood really running out of ideas... im not just talking the old cliche, but think of your top 5 favorite movies. Chances are at least half of them are from the early to mid 90's, if not further back.
i grew up on the movie The Longest Yard with burt - and now of course they have to redo it with some idiots and the token black rapper.
of course thats not enough,
they also have to redo Dukes of Hazzards and put the blonde princess bimbo Jessica in there to totally take away from the legend of the tv show.

Im not really sure whats worse.. the fact that all of these complete no-talent movie stars are actually making millions off the fact that ALL of these movie ideas are ripoffs- or the fact that millions of kids out there watch these movies for the first time and actually think its legit. Having no clue that these are all ripoffs of the original.
sure they didnt have the modern day glamour, but when don johnson in Miami Vice fell off the embankment, down the mud slide and into the pink convertible just in time to handcuff the bad guy - the whole time not having a single crinkle in his baby blue suit, i was OK WITH THAT. i didnt want to know how, i didnt need to know how.

same as all of this RnB shit - they are ALL OLD SONGS, redone. these idiot teen or 20something rappers come in and add a beat and all of a sudden are modern day heros with musical talent. And again, what makes it worse, is that kids growing up listen to this and dont even realize that yes, "American Pie" was indeed an old Don Maclean song and NO, madonna did not come up with that. ****ing butchered.

Starsky and Hutch, charlies angels... for christ sake even scoobie doo. All classics in the past , LEAVE them in the past.

Tell me about it it's insane. I was watching Scooby Doo with my son the other day and realized it was a new version, he even hated it. I hope they don't do a modern version of this, I'd die..........

I go into a "Hot Topic" and just wanna laugh. All these young kids are acting like they are experiencing some ground breaking new cool style by wearing Care Bears or Rocky Horror Picture Show t-shirts. That stuff was around when I was a kid! Yes, even that fro-headed guy painting trees with the caption "this tree needs a friend" is available screen-printed onto a t-shirt at Target! News flash: that was a painting how-to tv show back in the late 70's or early 80's.
There's nothing new under the sun and it all comes back in every 10 or 20 years.

i just read that a new reality tv show is coming out.
its called "The Real Gilligans Island". They take people who resemble the cast of the show, and stick them on an island to live for 5 months, full of cameras.

i grew up on star wars, airplane! gremlins and porkys in the theatres, and on tv was the smurfs, carebears and Inspector gadget.
and even though it seemed that there were only 4 episodes ever produced of inspector gadget, i was still ok with that.

not at all (unless you're inclined to). just a welcome back gift. no previous/devious motives intended.
