I just found out the oil services company I work for was aquired by another company. I was just starting to like it here, it was cushy, we got a really nice bonus, good benefits and now I may be out of a job.
Better blow the dust off my resume and start checking out what's out there.

I think you may have watched "Office Space" one-to-many times. I guess preparing for the worst it a good idea, but I would bet that your a "good" employee and being somewhat "new" your probibly going to be looked as easily molded to the new managements will. I hope so, at least. I wish you good luck in this situation.

Okay, so I'm a drama queen. Nothing will happen for at least 3 months. We haven't "officialy" been bought. I got 9 months or so before I really have to worry. By then, we won't have to shell out and arm and a leg for infant care.
