Hey that really sucks, people like that should be lynched. I don't care if she had a hard family life it's no excuise for taking advantage of people's trust. I lived in NY for 8 yrs. and have a few friends living in the city right now that might be able to recommend a few good roomates if your rent is too high. If you know anyone at NYU you can also look into getting a list of students there that are trying to rent with someone.

NYC can be the greatest place on earth but it also harbors some sneaky bastards.
