one time our cat patches (she lived in the barn) got atacked by a wild animal (we think wolverine or raccoon) and he tore out her throat...and we kept her on meds and doctored up. she healed up nicely and ended up living to a nice old age ---and having another litter!

glad he's alive. I came home from a night out and found my cat stiff in the front yard. (This was years ago) I never was sure what happened. I had to assume she was hit by a car and dragged herself home. I felt TERRIBLE. I was out having a really good time and my poor kitty was dying on the front lawn.
