The Skeleton Key
I went and saw this tonight. I think it was fairly good, however, if you have seen it advertised it says "There will be an unexpected twist, similar to Rose Mary's Baby".
The twist was in no way like the twist in Rose Mary's Baby. By telling me there is a twist at the end, totally ruined it for me. I was expecting to be suprised, therefore, I was not suprised at the ending. It was more suspense than horror. If I had not been trying to guess the twist during the whole movie, I would have been more involved and would have enjoyed it more. The end of "The Others" caught me completely off guard. But, then the movie trailer did not advertise an "unexpected twist". I figured out the outcome of the "Sixth Sense" about halfway through, because my brother told me that I would never guess the ending. So I spent the whole time trying to guess the ending. I hate that. Just let me watch a movie without knowing anything about it beforehand, and I am happy. Enough of my ranting. |

I also saw the Skeleton Key last night; figured it out then had to wait to make sure I was right.
The previews to "Emily Rose" look relatively creepy; came home and did some research on it. Think I will skip it; it is based on truth and her suffering was real regardless the cause.

I haven't seen Jacob's Ladder in about 10 years; I bought the dvd and shelved it. I need to watch that again.
