Lawyers want to sell Katrina-brand booze
METAIRIE, La. (UPI) -- Just six days after Hurricane Katrina blasted the Gulf Coast, two Louisiana lawyers filed an application to sell Katrina-brand alcohol to "Get Blown Away." Loyola University law school graduates Beale Blues, 31, and Harold "Dinzdale" Ehrenberg, 47, filed a logo bearing a satellite image of the deadly hurricane and the words "Katrina" and "Get Blown Away" in a Sept. 4 filing with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. While the type of alcohol to be sold under the Katrina brand was not known, it is a safe bet it would be some variation of The Hurricane alcoholic drink that is a staple of New Orleans' Bourbon Street, The Smoking Gun Web site reported. Blues and Ehrenberg, who also is a massage therapist, operate an office in the New Orleans suburb of Metairie, La. The beta version of Ehrenberg's Web site contains a graphic with six Roman columns, three of which are actually human spines, the Court TV-owned Web site reported.
