Does anyone know if the West Runton Pavillon, in Norfolk is still hosting live gigs. My dad was living in Sheringham during the late 60's and early 70's. He got tickets to T-rex, Siouxsie and the Banshees and Camel. Although the pavillon isn't very big, many big band hosted liked to start their tours there as a kind of practice run through. My dad remembers it attracting big crowds. He even remembers the time when a huge group of them gate-crashed the venue having called the fire brigade out. Everyone was evacuated and by the time the fire brigade had checked the place out, everyone bundled through the kitchen unseen. It must have been a great time!
I'd be interested to know if the pavillon was still going, and where I could find the latest about the gigs. Last edited by bvanheygen : 03-21-2006 at 10:34 PM. |
