If you were honest, then you are living your truth.
Not many people can say they are doing that. You have freed him to go out there and eventually love someone who can truly love him back. And you have freed yourself to find someone more compatible to you. You did the right thing for both of you. |

I'm with ZIMH - you freed each other up to find someone even better for both of you - he'll understand someday, and be grateful.
You done the right 'ting, toots.  In the meantime, avoid these movies: When Harry Met Sally Any movie with the word "Chocolate" in it, in any language Most movies made before 1950 I recommend things like: Any movie with Schwarzenegger in it the "Rocky" films the "Alien" films Aw heck - just rent a bunch of violent sci-fi crap & you'll be okay.
