WHAT IS DAY 60?

Day 60 is a collective of artists, designers, filmmakers, animators and anyone else interested in experimenting with visual linear media. Day 60 is a vehicle for people to create.

Day 60 encourages the participation of those with little or no prior experience. You must, however, have access to the equipment you will need to complete a linear media project. By clicking on a theme to the left you can get information on what technology was used to create past projects.

Day 60 gathers on the last Thursday evening of every second month to screen work from the previous two months and to receive the theme for the next two months. The theme for the next day60 is "NEEDLES".

RULES:

Anyone can enter.

Your project must be based on your interpretation of the months theme, no previously created works will be screened.

All projects must be longer than 30 seconds and shorter than 5 minutes.

Projects can either be silent or contain audio. We will have a sound system available at all screenings.

If you plan to present work on Day 60 you must submit your project on the Thursday before we meet in DV or Quicktime format (if you need help let us know) along with a brief description of the piece, what tools were used to create it, and a still from the movie .
