I really couldn’t get my daughter to wear braids until I told her that her grandmother used to give me braids every single day before school when I was a girl. Once she saw the pictures of me in braids as proof, I haven’t had any trouble with getting her to agree anymore. I often tease my daughter that she inherited the nagging gene from my Mother — and that it must have skipped a generation, since I don’t really have the nagging talent that those two do!
