The ducking
effect was actually intentional and not caused by master bus compressor abuse (I actually think I was quite conservative with the limiter compared to alot of similar stuff).
I just had a bunch of stereo submixes on groups, each with varying levels of dynamics processing, and the compressors triggered by the kickdrum (among other things) via the sidechain inputs.
People could argue that the pumping is excessive but I actually tuned it to a level that I personally found to be "just right" haha
