Might I suggest along with contact info exchange, you get an itinerary going? Some sort of "I'll be here" on a calendar. I'm sure you will get to it, but I'm throwing it out there just in case. But I know I'll need to figure when I need to travel and how long you'll be around, into my work schedule.
Yeah, I do need a bit more info before I can get a good itinerary going, esp. for any place after SLC/Denver-ish...for example, if I get one person taking me from South Carolina to New York City, I'll be in Michigan, etc. a lot sooner than if I have a bunch of stops. The Northwest I can kinda guess on as being sometime just before 1/7, and the Southeast I can guess as being somewhere in the 12/18-12/23 range, but the Northeast and Midwest areas are really hard to estimate for since they're in the middle of my two biggest gaps. Long Distance Trip
I will be driving from Los Angeles to Boston. Hoping to arrive in Boston on the 22nd or 23rd of Dec.
Lodging idea
I can't help unless you somehow end up in Denmark (over the pond) but I wondered why you don't get an account with either GlobalFreeloaders, CouchSurfing (biggest in the US) og HospitalityClub? it's basically the same idea as you have (as far as i've gathered) but without the driving around, just hospitality, place to sleep for free :)
Awesome Idea
that is all. :)
