Consensus Question

Heya Snark. I still disagree with you on the consensus question, but have made my points and will stop lest I start repeating myself ;) We'll have to wait and see if anyone else weighs in on the discussion. -874 14:39, 21 July 2006 (PDT)

Fair enough. Let's see what the "consensus" is. :-) Snark 14:45, 21 July 2006 (PDT)

Yeah, I'd have to describe your counter-example as the group having reached 100% consensus for both moves. I think we're pretty clear on where we disagree: simply put, I feel the voters are more relevant while you think the votes themselves are more important. -874 15:01, 21 July 2006 (PDT)

Well... maybe this is a new argument, but I'll put it here in case I'm still just saying the same thing a different way: I like to think of the percent column of the header as gauging "the number of dissatisfied fabulosos" for each move. Maybe "consensus" isn't a percise description of that, but I always thought it's what the column was intended to measure. That's really where I'm coming from when I say votes for other moves shouldn't matter as long as the voter also voted for the winning move, as he or she will still be satified by the outcome. -874 15:08, 21 July 2006 (PDT)
