adding media

Video must be hosted on YouTube, blip.tv, vimeo.com or Revver video

To upload media, simply copy and paste the URL to add the media.

Once the media has been added, you can use this page to manage your media.

  • Click the video once to select it, and then you can choose to add a caption, etc.
  • Clicking twice opens it, just like you'd expect.

Videos have a slightly darker border around them, and are found after images in your photo and video section of your profile page.

delete media

  • Select the movie that you wish to delete (look for the bolder border), click the delete button

I made this
The "I made this" check box simply attaches your user name to the image or comment.
If you check this box users will see: "created by <username>." If you leave this box unchecked users will see: "contributed by <username>." Please do not take credit for others' work.

'I forgot to check "I made this" when I linked one of my flickr pictures -- is there a way to change this?'

(a slightly bolder line will surround your image)

In this dialogue box there is a little box with the 'i made this,' click it, it will update.

error messages

Sometimes all is not well. Below are some error messages you may encounter and explanations of what they mean.

  1. invalid blip.tv url [Object reference not set to an instance of an object.] - Usually occurs when attempting to add video media to the ORG too soon after uploading it to Blip.tv. Just wait 10 minutes and re-attempt adding the video. (Awed Job 12:45, 10 July 2007 (PDT))
