Good morning spreh--good morning Sports Racers it's Tuesday, June [sic] 11th and I still feel like poo-poo. But at least I'm in a beautiful room.

[V.O., Panning around room]

Subtle, conservative palette. What were you smoking when you designed this?

[C.U.]

Just quickly I'd like to apologize to the guy that I shared an elevator with this morning. I heard you say, "Please press seven," but I still pressed six. I don't know why but I thought it was funny. But it didn't wind up being that funny. I should have pressed all the buttons.

Hungry Hippo licks Aunt JEmima [sic] writes, "Are you ever gonna break into song again? Are you running out of ideas?" Hungry Hippo licks Aunt JEmima, that's a good question. I run out of ideas every day! Each day I live in mortal fear that I've used up the last idea that'll ever come to me. If you don't wanna run out of ideas the best thing to do is not to execute them. You can tell yourself that you don't have the time or resources to do 'em right. Then they stay around in your head like brain crack. No matter how bad things get, at least you have those good ideas that you'll get to later.

Some people get addicted to that brain crack. And the longer they wait, the more they convince themselves of how perfectly that idea should be executed. And they imagine it on a beautiful platter with glitter and rose petals. And everyone's clapping for them. But the, but the, but the, but the bummer is most ideas kinda suck when you do 'em. And no matter how much you plan you still have to do something for the first time. And you're almost guaranteed the first time you do something it'll blow. But somebody who does something bad three times still has three times the experience of that other person who's still dreaming of all the applause. When I get an idea, even a bad one, I try to get it out into the world as fast as possible, 'cause I certainly don't want to be addicted to brain crack.

Oh, and thanks for the idea.

(Song)

Where the fuck do ideas come from?
Where the fuck do ideas come from?
Where the fuck do ideas
Where the fuck do ideas
Where the fuck do ideas come from?
Some people like to be all alone
Sitting half naked up on the throne
Personally that don't work for me
'Cause it smells like the poo-poo that just came from me
Where the fuck do ideas come from?
Where the fuck do ideas come from?
Where the fuck do ideas
Where the fuck do ideas
Where the fuck do ideas come from?
Some people coddle them like they were babies
A little more aging they'll be all right, maybe
But that's not for me, I turn them out early
Those assholes can cry, and what rhymes with "early"?
Where the fuck do ideas come from?
Where the fuck do ideas come from?
Where the fuck do ideas
Where the fuck do ideas
Where the fuck do ideas come from?

Oh, and Fabulosos, pawn takes bishop.

This is Ze Frank, thinking so you don't have to.

Notes

  • Ze states the month to be June rather than July which is obviously part of an amusingly subtle joke that he refers to later when he says "I heard you say, "Please press seven," but I still pressed six. I don't know why but I thought it was funny."
  • This hotel room, especially the green striped wall paper, looks very familiar. I'm pretty sure Ze has stayed in this hotel before. Mjworthey
  • Actually, this is the room on 03/22/06 and 03/23/06shows. At that time the decoration was "designed to look like a rainbow that just got its ass kicked by Chuck Norris". --LaLeSR 13:30, 11 July 2006 (PDT)
  • This room looks remarkably like the design in a lot of the Kimpton Group hotels. -- Esinclai
  • Yup.. Definitely is the Washington DC Topaz Hotel of Kimpton Hotels.. and I bet that Ze´s room is the Energy Suite (the red curtain is less creepy when it´s open, but those stripes are creepy anyway)--LaLeSR 13:48, 12 July 2006 (PDT)
  • This room is definitely from the same hotel chain as the room in 3/22/06 and 3/23/06, but there are a couple subtle variations, such as that the radiator in this room is towards the right of the curtain, while in 3/22/06 it is towards the left.
