Magic Dumpster:Bobbie mac
From zefrank
Bobbie, I'm fine with whatever so far as pledge collection, I think next Friday is great for pledge date. If you don't mind setting it up, and putting a link on the wiki pledge page. I'll be glad to help however I can. My e-mail is Graymonw@yahoo.com by Graymon 14:36, 16 August 2006 (PDT)
What I'll do if folks want me to handle it is post my Paypal address somewhere that you can send the money. I think it's possible people might vote for the 'fundable.org' option, in which case I'll be happy to set up the 'pledge group' to collect the money. Let's see which option wins out Friday and proceed from there.bobby_macrap at me
Sounds good Graymon 08:36, 17 August 2006 (PDT)
Since there is a tie in the consolation prize, I think you should break it, which means a chess board it is! arc
The chess set I suggested is only $12.99. We may be able to do both.bobby_macrap at me
I can't imagine us paying more than $20 for a shirt, so if we do get all the pledged money we can probably afford a nicer chess set. We should probably gather a few options. M4cfr34k
:*That's fine. There are already at least three options on the consolation prize page under 'chess set.' I'll get the best one we can afford and if you really want to explore this...you can probably make a page and get some more feedback on it.bobby_macrap at me

Designing Ze's Shirt
Design Ze's T-shirt here.
- Do any of you have a problem doing just the chess set? I only ask because I don't see much movement on the 'Design Ze's Shirt' page. I don't want this to turn into a second coming of 'Design the German Kid a Shirt." (see the forum if you don't know what I mean). I propose that if there isn't a serious submission that we just get the nicest set possible. If there's any money left over, I'll use it on a wishlist book, since that was the 2nd most popular option. What do you think?bobby_macrap at me
- I'm fine with that, but then I voted for a book originally. Kingpatzer 16:50, 24 August 2006 (PDT)
- Well, I'm still willing to iron something onto a homeless man's t-shirt. Once we're ready for the chess set send off, we'll take a quick peek at the t-shirt page and see if there's anything worth ironing. No need for money, since a shirt will cost me about a pledge anyway. Somejeff 19:20, 24 August 2006 (PDT)
- I won't throw a tantrum, but I guess I think the "all I got was" doesn't suck too badly. Granted, it doesn't have an image (a 3-D duckie-knight would be cool but obviously is not forthcoming), but my preference would still be a text-only tee and a chess set. Sford 11:51, 25 August 2006 (PDT)
Paying for Ze's Gift(s)
I'll accept money at my Paypal address and snail mailbox until midnight Eastern time, Friday August 25th. Whatever I have collected at that point I'll use to buy the gifts we decided on (currently the designed t-shirt and the chess board).
One of the easiest ways is through Paypal. If you don't have an account you can sign up at [Paypal.com]. It's free to send money and you can send it to the following email address:
rmccaffrey2@cfl.rr.com
- I only signed up for paypal yesterday, I don't think it will have confirmed my bank account in time for the deadline. Is it ok if my pledge is a little late? He who says zonk 19:49, 23 August 2006 (PDT)
Snail Mail
If you don't want to use Paypal, you can send your contribution to a physical address. Email me and I'll give you mine.

Which Set?
Magnetic with drawers
This magnetic set with drawers is, by far, the best one I've owned. It has the following features:
- just under 1'x1' (big enough to play, small enough to carry around)
- magnetic pieces (so when you move from the one place to another, you don't lose your game)
- two drawers that you must open at the same time (I never lost a piece yet)
The set is from germany, It's worth looking for a local distributor (or I can get it) Somejeff 14:24, 21 August 2006 (PDT)
Triple weighted wood tournament set
- If we get enough ($90) we could get him a Boxwood and Rosewood set from House of Staunton
Triple weighted Plastic Tourney Set
- this is pretty much what the gung ho chess nuts who aren't in the master class use in tourney play

Good wood every-day use set
- this is a nice set:

Sign a Card for Ze
Yeah, I'm sometimes that annoying person that circulates the birthday card around the office. Say 'thanks' to Ze below and I'll print out the results to send along with his gift. Even if you didn't pledge, let him know how you felt about the game.bobby_macrap at me
Ze, my wife and I are playing chess again after 10 years due to this game. Thanks for reminding us how much fun it can be.bobby_macrap at me
Ze, I've been a chess fiend for years, but I have never enjoyed a game this much before. Thanks for a really fun few weeks! Kingpatzer 05:22, 25 August 2006 (PDT)
Ze, I had a great time playing the game. I can't wait for your next project! PTWhipplebangSR! 07:03, 25 August 2006 (PDT)
I didn't play, but enjoyed watching. I could go on and on, but I bore even myself. So I'll just say thanks! Sford 11:42, 25 August 2006 (PDT)
Ze, I've been a fan for a long time and I hope to be a fan for a long time. I bet you never bet The Show would be so popular, did you? I really hope to see a new video from you like "small world" and "red alert." I hope that your acting career gets off the ground and soars high. NESH
You are brilliant, innovative, witty, motivated, and a real radiance to everyone you effect. If you need anything, you have a fan base that wants nothing more than your happiness. Don’t be above using that. I hope you like your gift. Graymon 14:54, 26 August 2006 (PDT)
Everyone here really likes what you are doing. Keep it up. And as I don't really want to think in english right now: Muy bueno el show, realmente le sacas una sonrisa a cualquiera que lo mire. Te deseo lo mejor, que disfrutes el regalo, y que tus sueños se cumplan... y paz mundial, jaja. asCii 11:17, 28 August 2006 (PDT)
Ze, every page of the forum says at the top: "Remember me?" Is there something wrong or should we just ignore its attention-seeking behaviour? Anyway, thanks for the great game! -- Pseudonym 14:21, 28 August 2006 (PDT)
Well, you have successfully proven that the collaborative mind is stronger than the single university degree. I also noticed a large sum of money was going your way for taking a fall in the 33rd round. My hired goon will be knocking on your door asking for my cut. Ignore the hammer. It's just your Ritalin talking. I told my girlfriend about this chess game. She thinks you're an imaginary friend of mine, with Tourette's. Somejeff 20:24, 28 August 2006 (PDT)
Thanks for the game and the show. I wish you good luck in all that you do.Jes ter23 00:13, 30 August 2006 (PDT)
Ze, I've had many laughs being part of the social spaces you've created surrounding your site. Thanks for doing the show and all the other fun treats for your viewers. I'm not alone in looking forward to what you do next. Supermissiletalk 16:20, 30 August 2006 (PDT)
