Magic Dumpster:Fabuloso Friday 2/Fabuloso Chess/Move6
From zefrank
Arrogant request
Fabulosos, there is a tendency of moves going the way ßrigade is pushing. While he is a very good chess player, he too can make a serious mistake and it is a bit disturbing that so few people challange him. I'm going away for a few weeks now and I wish all of you the best of luck! Yes, it's good to listen to what experts like ßrigade has said, but please vote as late as possible after reading what other people have said as well. --gelbitalk 06:45, 30 June 2006 (PDT)
- 'going away?' to somewhere they don't have computers?! (sniff)
- Yes, something like a two week vacation, without my laptop :O --gelbitalk 07:15, 30 June 2006 (PDT)
- gelbi has proposed an idea that voting only be allowed between 9pm and midnight of the day of the voting. The point would be to allow ideas to be fleshed out before bandwagon hopping commences. I believe this should be seriously considered:debate here - arcblah
- Let's try it tonight and see how things go. If you absolutely have to vote earlier, leave your vote on the ARTICLE page, and we can see how many would be affected, otherwise, I suggest opening the vote at 8pm ET, 5pm PT.
- AFTERTHOUGHT ITS FRIDAY! No show Saturday or Sunday! So now we really don't need to worry about it. Let's just open the voting Sunday at Noon ET!
- Actually in the interest of fairness we should probably make it Saturday midnight. That way both sides get the same amount of time to think about moves over the weekend. Plus it'll keep the debate focused here. muyfabulosotalk 12:11, 30 June 2006 (PDT)
- Yeah, we can decide not to implement it today. I think maybe next monday we should go forward with it, IF that is the general consensus.
Pxc4 - The Terrible Move
Honestly, I think this is a terrible approach as the pawn is left unsupported. But I could be wrong. medwardstalk
