  • The following potential sequence occured to me (the "?" is for moves we make that I obviously cant predict);

7. Ne5 "?" 8. Qa4+ Nc6 9. Nxc6 xc6 10. Qxc6+ "?" 11. Qxa8 Obviously thats an extremely bad case and depends on the two "?" moves being useless, but our last move made the sequence possible and if we don't take pains to avoid it it'd be extremely costly. Anyway if he doesn't move Ne5 then this doesn't matter and can be dumpstered, but the point is we need to be savvy to any deeper strategies in his moves, now that we're into the midgame.
