Although the fabulosos may have seen the queen pin in advance and you would have merely gone up a pawn and substantial positional gain. This way you're not even allowing black to make mistakes and instead you're forcing black to move his bishop to a superior square (either taking the knight doublign your pawns or back to e7 where it can start developing an assault on your king side).-lentz
