Another thing to discuss are "the stakes of this game" which "are yet to be determined. You might want to contribute your ideas". Any suggestions? -Disso 11:13, 23 June 2006 (PDT)

"You figured out the stakes yet?" quoth Ze June 26. The unofficial poll conducted by me has measured an emerging majority in favor of some kind of musical episode if we win, and buying Ze some yet to be determined stuff if we lose. More contributions are very welcome. - Disso 13:38, 26 June 2006 (PDT)

Voting on the stakes is going to take place here, but it might be a good idea to merge that page with the chess move vote page, whenever the stakes vote is going to take place. - Disso 15:33, 26 June 2006 (PDT)

Sports racers who have their minds made up can of course start voting. I'd say we keep the vote open 'til Tuesday Wednesday evening, then send the decision to Ze with the move for Wednesday Thursday. I don't know who's going to send the moves tonight and Tuesday, but if that comrade could include this info (that stakes are going to be announced on Wednesday soon) in the mail to Ze, that'd be neat. This is a proposed deadline, as I don't know if I can contact the mailer tonight. Also, if anyone wants to extend the deadline to have more discussion that's fine with me too, as long as we set a deadline and can notify Ze about it. - Disso 16:13, 26 June 2006 (PDT)

Late breaking unofficial poll news: musical episode still in the lead for "if we win", also due to continued disagreement over the choice of co-anchor (who's it gonna be then?); but excitingly there's an emerging majority of support for the "if we lose" proposal to offer fan-initiated marketing - contribute your suggestions how we're going to spread the word. - Disso 08:42, 27 June 2006 (PDT)

If we win ...

The Show: Unplugged

i'd like to see a live concert. at least 10 minutes of ze and a guitar performing any songs he wants. kind of "the show-unplugged". Ann 18:21, 23 June 2006 (PDT)

  • This is great! I'm already sold... and if we lose, he only does a 3 minutes concert. --Gelbitalk 18:34, 24 June 2006 (PDT)
    • Great idea, as long as Ze sticks with original material... I just had a scary vision of Ze doing an acoustic cover of "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" as part of that show... (shudder) (18:54, 26 June 2006 69.150.181.131)
      • We could have Ze sing through an entire episode- "Ze Frank: The Musical" (21:14, 26 June 2006 24.187.8.153)
        • I'm leaning toward this.bobbie_mactalk
          • i too would enjoy this much. -Ashok
  • This one's got my vote. Ze's songs are great and we need to hear some longer ones. ~Mec

when I read the title of this I thought it would be an unedited version of the show. just ze and the camera for howevermany minutes. it could be good, too.

The Mysterious episode

If we win, Ze re-posts the mysteriously deleted episode.

  • I think the stakes for the deleted episode were determined by Ze already, and judging by the response people aren't all that eager to see it again. Some fresh not previously deleted Ze ass would be more fun, but still... I think we can do better. And keep in mind, how long can this chess game last? How soon can we win? Let's say 20 moves, that'd be 8 weeks away. -Disso 12:31, 23 June 2006 (PDT)
    • I don't know what you're talking about. I, along with over thirty other people took pictures of our bare behinds to see the deleted episode. Rocco 14:59, 23 June 2006 (PDT)
      • And I commend you for it. But only twelve of you had the boomwow to include your faces, that's three a day since Ze asked on Monday, which means we'll hit fifty in another um, three weeks? Slow going. -Disso 16:00, 23 June 2006 (PDT)
      • After seeing the page why would you even admit that? there's some real butt ugly butts out there. Makes me think there should be a law.
        • I say "Bravo" to you, Rocco.

A show with Co-Anchor

A show with a co-anchor, for instance

  • Chelsea
    • GOOD LORD, NO!!! Chelsea is not funny. I daresay that I could make a much better show than Chelsea... blah blah blah, Ze's pupils... OMG STFU!!! Chelsea would ruin the show. Ze = funny. Chelsea = .
    • GOOD LORD, YES!!! Chelsea is hilarious. I daresay that no one could make a better show than Chelsea... blah blah blah, Ze's pupils... OMG PRICELESS!!! Chelsea would bring the show up to a new level. Ze = funny. Chelsea + Ze = priceless.
  • Bonesaw
    • If Ze could fly in Bonesaw from where she is, that would totally rock.
      • I'm sorry, but Bonesaw is a six year old spaz. I don't think kids are cute. They ruin everything they do because people think they're cute and lower their expectations for quality and production. Kids are the reason U.S. culture has sunk to the gutter.
  • Some other six-year old. Don't know why, but I think that would be awesome and would work very well with Ze's style. Maybe not a whole show, but a considerable segment of one.

These were suggested by Disso. Any other suggestions?? (and for every mention of Amanda Congdon, Stewie will kill you!)

  • the old lady from his block who thought he was funny
  • Amanda
    • For the love of God, no Amanda. She'd ruin the whole fucking show. I don't even think Chelsea is that funny.
      • I'm out on a limb here, but Chelsea is at least as funny as Ze. - 08:31, 27 June 2006 (PDT)
      • Chelsea is funny
      • Chelsea is indeed funny, Amanda is as funny as flat soda
    • Amanda was vehemently NOT suggested by Disso 15:09, 26 June 2006 (PDT)
      • LOL at Disso! Somebody has edited in Amanda up there... I'm pretty sure it wasn't there when I copied your stuff! And I swear it wasn't me! --Gelbitalk 05:53, 27 June 2006 (PDT)
  • Kermit the Frog, who argues with Ze. (was this you, Gelbi at 04:08, 25 June 2006?... Uhm, yes it was me... I'm sorry :) )
    • I think Kermit is copyright-owned by either PBS or Disney (Henson's estate sold most of the muppets' rights to Disney). Either way, I don't think he can use Kermit without legal issues. (A shame, since that's a funny idea...) (possibly by Gelbi)
      • It wouldn't be a copyright violation if it were parody, AFAIK parody is fair use. But to be honest I feel that kind of parody is a bit removed from Ze's usual perspective on performance. - Disso 10:03, 26 June 2006 (PDT)
  • the Ask a Ninja guy! I think that this could end up awesome. - isaac

Ze got Pwned

  • He threw down the gauntlet, talked plenty of trash .. if he loses then maybe we can get a picture/video of Ze and 'Property of the Fabulosos' written across HIS ass. Make sure you get your face in the picture, Ze. ^^ Brigade 13:49, 26 June 2006 (PDT)
  • My fave so far. However, I'm not sure you'll be able to reach consensus here about what happens if the unthinkable happens -- he wins.  :) muyfabulosotalk 18:18, 26 June 2006 (PDT)

Power Move

If ze loses he has to do 3 min. mocking all the power moves listed on fabuloso chess page.

Note: see below for the same powermove if we lose. This is a sneaky suggestion: what if the outcome were the same whether we win or lose? - Disso 08:34, 27 June 2006 (PDT)

Someone is thinking again.... stop that!

ze smells something

ze does one entire show from the inside of a bathroom stall in the port authority (or similarly rank locale)... (14:32, 27 June 2006 by 125.131.28.68)

hang out with ze

if he loses, he 'hangs out' with his fans for an hour via an IM chat. (17:04, 27 June 2006 by 208.60.177.13)

yea that would be a punishment (18:48, 27 June 2006 by 69.254.213.104)

Blowjobs and Cheetos

  • Blowjobs
  • Cheetos

Acting out the Episode

Ze must reinact his embarassing defeat on the show, preferably by using simple props to dress up as the chess pieces.

  • Or at least he could use timelapse on the chess board and give us a play-by-play tending to our egos. somejeff

Weekend Shows for a Month

If we win, Ze has to do Saturday and Sunday shows for a month. Or maybe just a weekend. We don't want to kill him.

If we lose ...

However, I've got no ideas yet about what we could offer if we lose. Hey it could happen, this is Ze "Checkmate" Frank we're talking about. Anybody? -Disso 16:09, 23 June 2006 (PDT)

  • It is quite early to say, but I think a draw is a very likely result, but we haven't decided what happens on a draw, there are two interpretations: draw means both win, or draw means both lose...

Amazon Wish-list

We could agree to buy him one of his choices on the 'gimme a present' portion of his site | ze's wish list I'd kick in a buck for that. (We need to come up with something cool for us if we win though)..bobbie_mac

  • I guess if this is a serious choice, we'd better tally up our potential money. ArgonBeam3500 mentions being in for $5.
  • I said a buck, but I'd go $3. (cheap bastard) bobbie_mactalk
  • I'm in for US$5.00 ßrigaderant
  • US$1.75 Just to make things difficult. - isaac
  • US$5.25 Just to spoil your fun... We are up to 20, is this how much faith we have in the wiki process??? The book was something like over $100 wasn't it? gelbitalk
  • What book were we talking about? I'd kick in US$10. How are we gonna do this? Should someone setup a paypal account? Should Ze set up a paypal account? --Twain101
TOTAL: $30

NOTE The real tally is here - http://www.zefrank.com/wiki/index.php/Talk:Fabuloso_Friday_2/Fabuloso_Chess/The_Stakes#Give_us_your_Pledge

Buy T-Shirts

You have to buy a shirt to be able to watch the following weeks shows, if Ze wins. - Mike M.

Buy T-Shirt (special fabuloso loser design)

We have to buy a special T-Shirt that Ze will design specifically for the Fabuloso losers, e.g. saying "I got my ass wiped on the chess-board by Ze Frank" or something like that, preferrably less geeky!

How about a T that says "Suckling Pig on the Teat of Failure"? There's a collector's edition for ya!

vacation from the show

Ze gets to take a week long vacation from the show. He can appoint someone else to update the site with viewer-sent videos every day. That, or the site just has a picture of a duckie stepping on a chess piece on it all week. 69.209.222.93 12:22, 26 June 2006 (PDT)

  • Although this would punish those sports racers who did not participate in Fabuloso Chess, is it fair for us to take it off the air for everyone? (Comment by Mayorcj over on the vote page.)
  • I'd say that this idea kind of... isn't good. If Ze didn't like doing the show, I doubt he would be doing it. Although, it would be funny to have a little contest, and Ze decides who is worth of taking his place for a week. God help Chelsea.
  • Given that Ze is, according to reports from Fox News, an autonomous thinking human being with free will, he can take a vacation any time he likes. Any implications in terms of site traffic and product revenue would be happen regardless of whether he had "permission" or not.

Special Guest Star

Ze requests a visit from someone (celebrity or whatever) he wants to have on the show, and then its our responsibility to somehow get them on the show (we know someone, ask them nicely, offer to pay them, whatever). 69.209.222.93 12:22, 26 June 2006 (PDT)

Ideas for Gifts

  • In the eventuality of our losing, we should get him the biggest g*ddamn duckie money can buy! (21:16, 26 June 2006 24.187.8.153)
  • How about, if we lose we all pitch in to buy billboard space in New York. The bilboard could say something like "Fabulosos Accused of Hard Charging, details at ZeFrank.com/TheShow." He gets promotion and we support him, even in our humiliation.
  • I like the billboard idea, maybe a different message 'cos that one's kind of an in joke if you've never watched the show before, but I'd be willing to contribute for that if we lost...--Faustus 07:06, 27 June 2006 (PDT)
  • I wonder how much billboard space in New York goes for, and if collecting that kind of dosh is realistic. But I could see how a creative take on marketing could make a splendid gift for Ze, I like that about this idea. - Disso 07:19, 27 June 2006 (PDT)
  • I do agree there should be some way that we can market the show to a larger audience and we have to foot the bill. - Squeedo
  • From the vote page comes the idea of taking the promotional idea to the next level: the international. - Disso 09:43, 27 June 2006 (PDT)
  • Also from the vote page this idea: Sports Racers have to make a 'the show'. Hmm, this is also a variation on the vacation idea, seems to me. - Disso 09:48, 27 June 2006 (PDT)
  • I think the stakes should be steaks. Who wouldn't want a big box of meat? -- Alicia
  • -wouldn't we then have to decide on the stakes?
  • actually we could just order some to be delivered to Ze, from like Omaha steaks or some similar company.
  • I think the marketing thing would be a lot more effective if it didn't rely on any of us pooling money. But other things are just as valuable (not to mention effective). Time, and cunning use of gurrilla urban marketing. Then take pictures of it and send it in.
  • Perhaps a sticker campaign...

A new chess board

Can I be frank Mr. Frank, but that red & black plastic group of molecules, you think is a chess set, appears to have been manufactured by some third planet outsourcing company.

  • Oh yes indeed... he really needs a new chessset much more than a book on the psychology of humor, but I bet he would be much more thankful if we got him the book.
  • This is a great idea. If we lose we can get him a nice chess set and play more games. ~Mec

Power Move

If ze wins he gets to do 3 min. mocking all the power moves listed on fabuloso chess page.

Garden Gnome Humping

If Ze wins he gets to visit the Fabuloso garden of his choice and hump any and/or all of the garden gnomes therein.
