Loved the soap and pubic hair. Reminds of a time when I shared a hotel room with a male friend and he mistook my clarins extra gentle face soap for a bar of regular soap. In the end it didn't look quite as nice as Tom's work.

On today's Truth, you should talk about how everyone thinks a seven year old girl is racist.

Self-portrait carved out of aspirin? Every "loser" whose high school counselor just sighed and shook her head has a patron saint.

I like the work, even if the text does suck.

Yup - text sucks. But I find this kind of thing really inspiring - you can't really complain that you don't have money for art supplies with this kind of work around :D

Thanks, ze. :)

i saw one of his exhibits at a museum in NYC about 4 years ago. the name of the museum escapes me. something very downtown.

my favorite was the construction paper self-portrait after a motorcycle accident (shown on that site).

my other favorite was a piece called "everything"; it was a 11"x14" (or so) piece of paper, with every word from the dictionary written on it in very, very tiny letters. you looked at it and were like "....yep. that's everything, all right."
