I've been slowly but surely memorizing my favorite quotes from the Devil's dictionary for years now. Fantastic stuff, thanks for the link I would definitely have missed that.

One of my favorites isn't on his site:

Dice. n., Small dotted cubes of ivory, constructed like a Lawyer to lie on any side, but most commonly the wrong one.
