Thanks for that musical trip back to my past. In return, some additional useless information:
1) in Italian, "Mangione" means "trencherman"
2) in English, "trencherman" means "person with a hearty appetite"
3) I _love_ Chuck Mangione

He clearly likes YOU, Ze.
Chuck Mangione, no fewer than 30 years after putting out that utter utter crap album, is still ranked at 6000 and something on Amazon - a far, far better rank than, for example. "The Essential Charlie Parker".
Every generation has it's infuriatingly incompetent jazz musician who gets more exposure and makes more money than all other musicians of their time combined. Herb Alpert, Chuck Mangione, and Kenny G represent an unbroken lineage of Suck.

Yup, he sure is awesome. Thanks for the link, I've been giggling all morning.
Wow, he's you with dark eyebrows.

thanks - I've had that song stuck in my head since 1982, and never known it was Chuck Mangione.

I like his use of the word flugelhorn, as it is fun to say. Miles Davis would be proud.
