This reminded me - I used to sing at the drop of a hat. Then I got some training. Then I started getting paid to sing. Then I got scared/disgruntled/frustrated (little by little). Takes a lot to get me to sing lately.

I just saw an interview with Thom Yorke in which he said that, after "Hail to the Thief", the band "lost their confidence". What is it about getting paid for doing your thing that makes it harder to do - for some of us, anyway...? I know exactly what it is he's talking about, innately, although it's hard to put it into words.

I hope Bob never starts to second-guess himself. He's wonderful. :)

ha, at the little boy at the end. It's good to see that hes been able to do it for so long without being stopped or whatever. Nice to know that exists.

Cool - Bob is a throwback to the days of street marketers. What a joy it would be if there were more Bobs! It amkes me wanna sing instead of play. Thanks.

Oh that is so sweet, i like what he said about disappating the gloom, when I was goin through a gloomy patch sometimes I'd get the singing bus driver on my route and it always lifted my day.

You know, he makes it look so easy because he's absolutely fearless, and absolutely generous. You don't find that combination in just anybody.
thanks for featuring him again!

I remember Bob too!
I often say that people who have good voices should sing all the time for no particular reason simply because the world needs more spontaneous music. But if I were a singer, when it came down to it I probably wouldn't have the courage. Kudos to him.

At the airport he probably does more good and reaches more people than he ever could at the Met. But yeah, how about a raise?
