Ooooooh... That felt good. Seems like old times...

Posted by: peevish at November 5, 2007 3:44 PM

Does this mean The Show is coming back?

Posted by: Ian Myers at November 5, 2007 3:57 PM

Like "just one" cigarette after being off them for years. I think. I've actually never smoked, but it sure seems like people react that way.

Posted by: The Fishmonger at November 5, 2007 3:59 PM

Exactly like old times. If only this continues! Maybe if there's a long strike?

Posted by: Bill Deys at November 5, 2007 4:03 PM

The Show with studio lighting? That feels so weird :)

Posted by: garoo at November 5, 2007 4:04 PM

Well put sir, entertaining and informative as always.

Good luck to you during the strike, hopefully it will all end soon.

Posted by: Matt at November 5, 2007 4:04 PM

It's good to see your unblinking eyes again. However, I'm a little concerned about those two small spikes you appear to be growing on your shoulders.

Posted by: Rubrick at November 5, 2007 4:05 PM

Good seeing you again after such a long time! Thanks for the update!

Posted by: Speedcuber Lo at November 5, 2007 4:18 PM

Good times... good times! Living in new Zealand, the strike wont affect our scheduled programing for another 15 years.. Anyway gotta go the new episodes of Night Court are on.

Posted by: Daniel at November 5, 2007 4:20 PM

Awesome. So good to see you again, Ze. Please sir, may I have more?

Posted by: Ben at November 5, 2007 4:24 PM

Boy, that was like sleeping with your ex-girlfriend for old time's sake after a few months of lonely nights.

Posted by: randal at November 5, 2007 4:38 PM

we celebrate the return of Ze!

Posted by: jeffro at November 5, 2007 4:42 PM

I was a little distracted by the grill marks on Ze's forehead - have those always been there?

Posted by: Josh at November 5, 2007 5:01 PM

You just couldn't help yourself could you.
P.S. I think I love you.
P.P.S. How do you feel about all the video bloggers that now try to speak in your intonation, follow your format, and use your editing style?

Posted by: Anton at November 5, 2007 5:06 PM

Rock On! Keep them coming....

Posted by: Amazing Rando at November 5, 2007 5:08 PM

Seriously, I was having a terrible, terrible day today. Nothing was going my way and I think that God tea-bagged me a couple of times just for kicks.

Then I saw this and I couldn't help but smile. Good to see you again Ze. You literally just made my day.

Posted by: McPat at November 5, 2007 5:15 PM

Good to see your face and hear the current news, Ze.
Proof that your till alive doing well.
I hope the writers strike doesn't effect you, in a negative way.

From the video I glean that you loathe the 'reality show' genre as much as I. Let's hope some of those writers can take there skills to some web shows, until they get proper compensation for work.

Have a good day.

Posted by: tekphreak at November 5, 2007 5:19 PM

That felt good.

Posted by: Tracy at November 5, 2007 5:28 PM

Ah, excellent. To be honest I was expecting a relapse a little sooner than this. <3

Posted by: GlenC. at November 5, 2007 5:30 PM

Please please please let this mean that you're going to do your show for every day that the strike goes on.

I've missed you Ze.

Posted by: Joel Housman at November 5, 2007 5:31 PM

Oh thank you so much for that!

Posted by: Chris Stevens at November 5, 2007 5:31 PM

It's that curiously encouraging presence again.

Posted by: simles all around at November 5, 2007 5:41 PM

Posted by: Mav at November 5, 2007 5:43 PM

Ze! Are you striking...against striking? Er. Against not broadcasting? Will The Show tide us over until we have our mindless television again? Please say it's so!

Posted by: J at November 5, 2007 5:51 PM

Thanks for this! I enjoyed it so. It seems like too much to hope for more, I understand if this is it; it was great!

Posted by: Backspace at November 5, 2007 5:53 PM

as they say in NZ : 'Noice'.

Posted by: bremblebeck at November 5, 2007 6:13 PM

The Show is BACK!!

Posted by: Brian at November 5, 2007 6:19 PM

Wow, that really brightened up my day. Its nice to see the actual you again. :D

Posted by: Flapjacks at November 5, 2007 6:25 PM

Ze, please bring back the show, while the writers strike is on.

Posted by: Jazza at November 5, 2007 6:26 PM

ooohhh yeahhh. Was it good for you too?

Posted by: gifa at November 5, 2007 6:28 PM

Brings back memories. The random closeups and lack of blinking take me back to a time where life made sense. I miss The Show :/

I watch very little TV anyway so I don't think *my* viewing will be all that affected. Regardless, I hope everyone comes to terms and writers get paid again. We need to give our creatives all the support we can.

Posted by: ryptide at November 5, 2007 6:33 PM

Yay a the show! Only not the show, cause the show ended.

...Hmm, would hypothetical additional episodes of not-the-show have to wait until after the strike too? I mean, that's writing, right?

Posted by: Kevin Miller at November 5, 2007 6:35 PM

Oh Ze! Tell us it's true. Tell us this is the beginning of a regular daily Ze injections. :D

Posted by: Zadi at November 5, 2007 6:37 PM

I liked the bit about the Hills....oh wait...I liked it all.

Thanks for surprise visit, ze. And for bringing the always welcome funny with you.

I can't tell from this exactly how you feel about the specific issues in the writers strike. But I sincerely hope you are always fairly compensated for any creative work you desire fair compensation for.

Posted by: zoomsoon at November 5, 2007 7:21 PM

wow. "Marital Law". pathetic. HAHAHAHAHA :D

Posted by: Bill Cammack at November 5, 2007 7:21 PM

Fuck, Ze, keep this up!!

Posted by: Tim Robertson at November 5, 2007 7:22 PM

Howzabout you reinstate the show for as long as the strike continues? And maybe longer? Maybe indefinitely longer?

I'll take The Show over television any day.

Posted by: Noise at November 5, 2007 7:30 PM

Knew you couldn't stay away.

Posted by: pauline at November 5, 2007 7:30 PM

I'm not sure I've ever met a vlogger who doesn't cite you as an inspiration.

Posted by: GeekGirl.TV at November 5, 2007 7:32 PM

Maybe there should be more strikes and then Ze might make more shows...but i am pretty sure this is a one shot deal...:(

Miss ya work ze.

Posted by: Adam at November 5, 2007 10:04 PM

Ze, that was great. I think we all have missed your regular show. Hope you can do these at least once in a while, maybe weekly, if that is not asking too much. Even if you don't thanks for the past.

Posted by: bertie at November 5, 2007 11:02 PM

If you are striking against a project that you are working on in Hollywood, I guess it bums me out because I would love to see that project, but indeed its really great to see you back there like that. Seems like the eyes are little rusty, eh? And I mean, it was a little long ;)

I want zeFrank to have my baby. Well, technically it isn't mine, it just kind of followed me home (okay, it got stuck on the front of the car), but I want him to have it.

What a pleasant surprise and well done. Good lord you have an exquisite way with words. It's weird, while the news is unpleasant, your delivery cheers me nonetheless. I do believe you are the cure for ennui.

Oh I hope someone pays you life changing money to do this regularly. It's overdue.

Ze takes one more step up that ramp encouraging us all to join in a great conversation of entertaining and engaging each other. Let's create our own reality.

Posted by: Awed Job at November 6, 2007 8:38 AM

have you ever had something special that you liked but only got a little of it, and only when you happend upon it--like straw mushrooms, shrimp ( when they used to be expensive), mandarin orange slices.

and once you have had the opportunity to get as many as you want and eat your fill they lost their "specialness". This little gift you have jut created is like those things before I found them to be available for mass consumption.

I do not miss 'the show' nor do I desire for you to pump shows out daily--

I just wanted you to know I enjoyed this creation very much and appreciate your talent. It is like tha tmarischino cherry in the shirley temple you had in that restaraunt as a child ( before you realized marischino cherries are sold in Safeway)

Posted by: dan at November 6, 2007 4:34 PM

Last year the best show, that I'd watch religiously, wasn't ever even on TV, it was TheShow with ZeFrank. Seeing you again reminded me either how much I incredibly miss your show, or don't miss television, probably both. I'd take no more TV if we could get a TheShow once a week you wouldn't even need to do RTFEDD or Dirty Science News (unless, you know, you wanted to and stuff), and pay you, much! Like HBO, or Cinemax. That'd be my dream. Dare to dream.

Posted by: ImageWrangler at November 6, 2007 4:41 PM

Please come back Ze! I've been looking at your RSS feed of The Show pretty much daily in the slim hope of finding some new content. I really used to look forward to your show when I came back from college in the evening... The Show 2? Please?

Like finally shaving my face after weeks of little scraggly hairs--
Like gulping down orange juice from the carton after mowing the lawn--
Like finally seeing that girl who makes you all warm inside, but had forgotten how warm inside she made you--
Like the touch of a mother's hand, those lacey cuffs and that flowery smell--
Like being tickled forever and it nevr stopping until finally your father lets up and you can fucking breathe again--

That's what you're like to me.
