Les Quatre Cents Coups

a lovely scene from Truffaut's "Les Quatre Cents Coups", just the expressions on the children's faces makes it worth watching ::

That movie is full of memorable scenes...some of my favorites are the shrine to Balzac, the mispronunciation in English class, the innocent-looking little girls in cages, and of course the ending.

To anybody who hasn't seen it: wait for a revival at a theater instead of renting it. It's one of those rare movies that improves with the energy of an audience responding to it.
