Sounds like a gimmick. Of course, it is easy to discover something when you make it up.

My question is: why all the marketing just for a fun little event?

Unless it is something else entirely. ...

I participated in the "lost sport" event Jane ran in San Francisco. It's a really, really fun time. I highly recommend anybody who is even slightly curious come out for this.

You will hum, run around blindfolded, and learn how to draw a proper labyrinth in chalk.
