I thought the amateurish nature was part of its charm. (The most distracting thing for me was Indonesian-Malay shadow puppets speaking with Indian accents. Saya aneh.)
I saw this a couple of weeks ago; it's without a doubt the best feature-length animated film that I've seen which is essentially the product of one person. Someone, anyone, please give Nina a budget!

I saw it when it was at our local film festival and loved it so much I wanted to buy a copy (this was before it was available online), so I emailed the creator on her blog and she let me order a screening dvd. Yay! It's great. I love the blues but I love the modern music in it too. Very stylishly done.
