Hmmm... I wonder if it would have made me laugh if I hadn't known how many of those laughs were sinister. This is what happens when you show something like this to an introvert. We can't help but take the whole story into account.

Actually, I agree -- I think this was not made to make people laugh! And I laugh easily. Too many of these clips come from situations where the person's not laughing in happiness (and usually that's obvious even if you haven't seen the movie)...

It makes you realise how infrequently you ever see a genuine laugh in movies.

It's the reason why out-takes from movies are often funnier than the movie itself - because you get to see the actors actually laughing, rather than pretending to laugh.
