I'm allergic to bananas.

lukkucairi 07-28-2009 07:12 PM

Trieste showed me that :)

Stephi_B 07-29-2009 01:02 PM

If a banana does not open up for me as I feel it should in that very moment (often this is like Frieda describes it, but then sometimes it is not) I do it like Mr Cute Boxers does it ;)

YsaPur EsChomuw 07-29-2009 01:10 PM

I saw this video a little while ago but haven't eaten any bananas since then. I might give it a try, although my way of peeling bananas works fine, too.

My best friend uses an open-it-with-teeth method. Yuck.

Jack Flanders 07-29-2009 01:18 PM

I tried this method this am and dang if it didn't work!!! I am so sold, now!!! :)

zero 07-29-2009 03:08 PM

i just remembered another banafact that was NEW! to me quite recently although quite possibly this is old hat to you:

if you poke your index finger very gradually, slowly & gently starting at the exact centre of the top of a peeled banana and go towards the other end, it splits apart into three perfect segments in a most pleasing manner.

who knew?

Jack Flanders 07-29-2009 03:38 PM

sounds pervy to me. :(

zero 07-29-2009 05:07 PM

try it - it really works!!

MoJoRiSin 07-29-2009 05:33 PM

alright DONE!

not to everyone !!

MoJoRiSin 07-29-2009 06:10 PM

brightpearl 07-30-2009 02:34 AM

YsaPur EsChomuw 07-30-2009 08:02 AM

Brynn 07-31-2009 10:33 PM

I did not know these particular facts about the lovely banana, and am pleased and grateful to now be able to pass these skills on to my friends and offspring.
This is evolution at work, people, and it's so very exciting and NEW!

Coffee 08-01-2009 02:32 PM

exciting: YES.
New!: YES.
Fresh: Not for long judging by the dinonana.

Jack Flanders 08-02-2009 02:47 AM

Enough banana-rama shit!!! Give it it's own thread someone!!

(Upsided down question mark) Do you Facebook (Normal question mark)

Odbe 08-02-2009 04:07 AM

Coffee 08-02-2009 02:51 PM

lukkucairi 08-03-2009 01:41 AM

all the bloody time

keeps me sane when I travel

Peregrine 08-03-2009 02:47 AM

Wish I didn't. But all my meatspace friends went there after MSN Messenger became sooooo 2005.

Hyakujo's Fox 08-03-2009 06:11 AM

Where else am I going to find out that when it comes to 1970s sitcoms, I'm Ralph Malph.

get the SIMP encryption and it's so 2009

Brynn 08-03-2009 06:07 PM

I do. It's like having a giant front porch, and when you feel like going out to rock in your rocking chair, and wave to friends, you get to decide who is walking by.

However, I feel like this place is way more fun. This is like the pub down the street. With music. And comedians.

Jack Flanders 08-04-2009 01:01 AM

^ I agree and when I'm texting/writing/communicating with old friend/distant relatives and get a fun groove on (sarcasm) kerplunk, they get all pissy and do not get it. So tired of being sorry for what I've shared with them and then having to explain my joke. But I have reconnected with some interesting people from my past. and;)

Stephi_B 08-04-2009 10:30 AM

I remembered that I registered at facebook in the longagoes when my mate Vanya lately requested my friendship - so I have a facebook friend now, the best ever facebook friend one (at least me) can imagine :) - but I myspace more, but without some space or the other (including my almost 60 sqm at home or my, I dunno, 5-7 blocks in every direction except east, there only 2 blocks, hood space) I cannot live sane for some longer time period (say a week?) ;)

Bman 08-06-2009 01:26 PM

I like to think that facebook is just a myth, like blood donation.

Frieda 08-06-2009 04:37 PM

since 2 weeks, no idea what to write there though

zero 08-08-2009 04:06 AM

trisherina 08-08-2009 04:39 AM

Probably not.

lukkucairi 08-08-2009 10:47 AM

yeah, for sure.

topcat 08-08-2009 11:43 AM

almost always maybe never

MoJoRiSin 08-08-2009 03:04 PM

my answer is: yes, go for it

Peregrine 08-08-2009 04:24 PM

I suppose.

YsaPur EsChomuw 08-08-2009 05:42 PM

Marcus Bales 08-09-2009 09:19 AM

How did you meet your current life partner or paramour?

zero 08-09-2009 10:10 AM

paramour my arse!

xfox 08-09-2009 01:00 PM

It was a sign.

MoJoRiSin 08-09-2009 05:39 PM

i met my husband on a trip to maui
that i never would have taken save
for the gulf war caused the japaese
goverment to advise its citizens
to cancel there vacations to
Hawaii at that point
more than likely the hotels
subsidized the airlines ??
not sure how that works
but the flight on United Airlines
was only 300. round trip from
Boston. I did not tell anyone but my friend
Karen that (I lived in my guru's ashram)
but my aformentioned fried Karen
had a child and I went to help her for
a couple of weeks
however her baby was perfect and slept through
the night on day one so after a week
i stood by on a flight blah blah blah
come to find out my guru
was with his entourage in Las Vegas !!
can you believe that? mo was uninvited!!
my husband is a woodsman and more recently
and inventor of handy tools.
His name is Thane and he is 12 years younger
than me.
I asked him if he had a quarter so i could use the payphone
the rest
is history.
