I agree. If I were a puppy, I would most certainly be likely to dream of ham eyes.

new QOTD Will you be watching the Winter Olympics?
I am right now!! |
yes, watching sven kramer skate to gold!! :D
|
Yes, I am, even now.
I dread the following two weeks, though, because as far as work effectivity is concerned, it's going to be sub-zero, crowned by hippo-like yawns, due to olympiggameses ness. |
I nearly always watch at least some. As an avid follower of bad celebrity fashion, I can't help but take a peek at the ice skating costumes, and this promises to be a banner year.
![]() But, I read earlier today that NBC aired footage of the death of Nodar Kumaritashvili, and my enthusiasm for turning on the tv waned quite a bit. :( Dunno. I hope to regain some of my warm fuzzy nostalgia for the games as I realize the athletes love their sports and want them to be loved by the viewers as well. |
Yes! switching to Book-TV during commercials.
(We're all pretty much the same unless we've written a book or won a medal.) |
Yep. You never know when seven other people will fall over so that the Australian can get a medal.
|
yes
on and off |
One of the ice skating pairs went mime and I just could not be happier.

Tom Brokaw's emotional profile of Canada and what great neighbors we are made me go all misty-eyed with affection, and then of course I thought about Trisherina, and then I had to get some ice cream or something to contain the emotion.
Love that Canada. I find myself rooting for them, yay. Must move there. |
I'll watch most everything but the curling. Because I'm old and I remember how disgraced everyone felt about Munich.
And Portland practically is Canada -- felt very home-like when I was there, even down to taking buses. A lot like similar-sized cities in British Columbia. Which makes sense I suppose. I liked the Shane Koyczan bit at the opening ceremonies, but the death of an athlete at the games always makes whatever follows a bit of an asterisk. |
new q
Which of life's little annoyances do you secretly enjoy complaining about? |

" I didn't know the words to this stupid song when we recorded it in the studio because I'm so super cool. So now I'm lip-syncing it and I don't give a shit because I am super cool and you already paid me.""

Oh, it's the original version of the Lion King song. A wimoweh, a-wimoweh, a-wimoweh, a wimoweh...
But if you play it on double speed, you realise he's singing about po-tay-toes... |
High on a hill was a lonely goatherd, lay odl lay odl lay hee hoo
Loud was the voice of the lonely goatherd, lay odl lay odl loo |
