It's nice how often we make each other laugh around here.

Snake: Yes, but I know what you called her to make her walk out on you Mad resident: I called her nothing that wasn't completely reasonable And also. "We got Mum stitching name labels on Dad's clothing because it's something we discovered she can still do.......then we found she'd sewn them all onto the fronts of his clothing" |

bit of text on zapruder.nl
Meneer Gore.....het is goed met u..... translated: While the price of oil futures is breaking all records, two billion people are watching a worldwide rockshow to endorse awareness about "global warming". With a rock-hard indoctrination campaign the world population is made clear that "we should be more economical because the time to act is now". Meanwhile, a war machine is raging through the Middle East that is consuming more oil every day than the whole of Switzerland. In the name of the war on terror tons of depleted uranium are being pumped into the atmosphere and into the earth and they are lobbying to blow up a nuclear plant in Iran. Mr Gore.....yeah right.... |
i don't get that last line. what does gore have to do with the decisions made by this administration?
you might as well say "auntie aubrey, yeah right." |
hmmm i guess "yeah right" isnt a good translation for that line.. it's like we're telling mr gore that it's useless to take part in his environmental campaign because the government is spilling everything anyway. it's dutch sarcasm i guess.. i can't figure out how to translate it properly! any ideas?
|
maybe something along the lines of "nice try, gore."
(although i disagree with the sentiment. making an effort still counts.) |
how about.... .
Mr. Gore... whatever... or Mr. Gore... you've got bigger fish to fry. or Mr. Gore... keep your eye on the ball. or Mr. Gore... you can't see the trees for the forest. |
