colobama - a fish sauce from Ruritania, a country on the dark side of the Baltic. The recipe calls for Baltic catfish fat, saddleback thyme, argyle, and salt. The proportions vary by region, and the regions vary by sometimes as much as a hundred yards.

coloboma (n) Latin American dance that was ultimately forgotten rather than forbidden, in which each partner separately performs a loboma (see illustration below). In the early days of the dance, the partners stood about three feet apart, but during the 1950's, under the influence of the universally acknowledged master of the coloboma, Uruguayan Ernesto Pa˝uelo, partners progressively moved further and further apart, until eventually they would peform the dance in entirely different cities, up to three weeks apart. However the dance went into decline following the controverial Pan-American Championships staged in Buenos Aires in 1961, for which Ernesto Pa˝uelo has still not completed his performance. For many years he claimed he would complete his performance only when the time was right, however this prospect became increasing unlikely after Ernesto was hit by a bus and killed instantly near his home in Montevideo on the 14th April 1973 .

Is this entirely constitutional?

Anyhow, try this one: furciferous

daverbee 09-09-2005 11:23 AM

furciferous
Of or having to do with the duty of making sure George Bush doesn't repeat himself over and over and over and over and over when he runs out of script.
Any case in which an otherwise intelligent person is given the job of making a doofus appear intelligent.

Marcus Bales 09-09-2005 11:34 AM

furciferous - to take over bearing forks, instead of knives; peacable accession, though see also "furceless", without constitutional authority. [L. furcifer, furca fork + ferre to bear.]

After Roger threw down his knife while spraying his place setting with enraged spittle, as well as the company with his vile ideas, and stomped away from the table muttering invective, the furciferous Joan said "Well, now that we've gotten sports out of the way, shall we try politics or religion?"

Master_Jedi 09-09-2005 11:47 PM

furciferous - A fur coat made out of ferret hair. It verociosly itches.

Her furciferous coat was quite ugly.

Brynn 09-10-2005 02:35 AM

furciferous(adj.) - describes anything that breathes fire.

As she was hoisted suddenly into the air by his claw, Blanche found herself simultaneously aroused and alarmed by Godzilla's maddened, furciferous passion, and struggled without success to secure her tousled hair with a broken rhinestone barrett she found in her dangling evening bag.

trisherina 09-10-2005 02:42 AM

furciferous: in the NPR tradition, describing a pine or spruce tree rendered in fabric or soft sculpture for the holiday season.

Bella and Bibi, your charming new line of Yuletide latch hooks is intensely furciferous! Yes. Furciferious. Good times. Yes.

Hyakujo's Fox 09-13-2005 11:36 AM

Is that all there is?

Hermione 09-13-2005 05:19 PM

furciferous- having a very hairy beaver.

Coffee 09-13-2005 07:54 PM

furciferous; - ously,

An unconvincing display of ferociousness...esp. by a person usually considered peacable, non-threatening, or as gentle and "warm fuzzy" type.

Surbhi furciferously posted "^^^Poo-Poo head!!!" to the rude new board member.
