I love the wiki. Has everyone seen Rune's wikipage? The Dr. Seuss tribute to Dee Snider? Trisherina's Lemony Chicken recipe?
|

How do I add a new page under a category? I am dumb & don't know how.
|
[[the_page_name this is what people will see as a link]]
then click on it. If the page don't exist (new) then it asks if you want to create it. now go play! |
more details
Yah PFP - go to the page where the category is listed, hit the "edit" button, type what Rune typed, hit "preview" to make sure it will appear the way you want it, then hit "store."
Your page should show up with a question mark after it. When you click the question mark, it will create a new page and you can edit it however you wish. |
it's all too confusing for this little mind.............
|
Thanks guys, I will try this from home tonight. :)
|
Someone posted a pesto recipe - looks good!
|
Yeah how do you post something under the pasta heading? Pasta is not clickable.
Maybe you could type s l o w e r this time when explaining it to me. joj The question mark thingy is not showing up for me now. I will try it later. :( |
Heh!
OK... here goes... 1. click on the recipe link on the home page 2. click the "edit" button 3. type [[the_name_of_the_page the description you want to appear on the recipe page]] 4. hit "preview" - the decription you want to appear should show the way you want it to 5. hit "store" - the question mark will appear after the description, and when you click on the question mark it will open up the page that you named above in #3. 6. hit "edit" and go nutty! :) |
I did that & now my recipe is not showing up...
BUT! The ones I posted earlier are there. *shrugs* |
Re: wiki needs more recipes
No, wiki needs to keep what I post, not erase it immediately afterward.
|
somebody post my shrimp recipe
think of all the people it could save |
   I would, but you see, the Wiki does not like me & will not save anything I post, except for the facon, lettuce & tomato sammich recipe.
|
:( ok i guess it will be a top secret one
|
PFP, I was playing WikiFairy and I added your recipes from the other day to the recipe page (bratwurst, etc.)- your other ones are there in the Wiki, they're just not linked to the recipe page.
For instance... go to the recipe page, hit "edit" type [[baked PFP's mayo-baked salmon]] where you want it to appear hit "store" et voila! The recipe page will be linked to your recipe. |
Yes, I really am this dumb.
Thank you, KittyTummy. :) |
Ha!!
*confession* The only reason I have an avatar is because Lapietra made me one :( |
Not to overly toot my own horn but I just posted my recipe for oxtail soup on the wiki ... and it is fabulous, if I do say so myself. It's getting colder here now and I'm craving comfort food... yum!
I keep waiting for someone to post fodder's super shrimp recipe... if someone tells me where it is, I'll put it up. |
So, now, what exactly is oxtail?
|
Er, it's an appendage attached to an ox's butt :)
does that gross you out??? |
Completely.
|
DOH! Damn my Chinese-Jamaican heritage :(
I won't post my recipe for tripe, if that's any consolation! |
Not a tail.

Dammit!
I thought all the screens had been closed. How did this damn fly get into the forums!
Quick, Henry- the Flit!! |
I got your recipe right here...
1 cup of horse flies.
5 pounds of dog meat. 2 pounds of dead hair. grind well set in sun for 4 and a half hours. after cooled: put layer of horse dropings on top and chill. alternate topping: fresh cow pattie. |
