okay, five different things, but a chain of events:

- I was supposed to go to a meeting tonight
- I don't want to go to the meeting (it's not an essential deal, just a must-do as a future funding applicant type of thing that I keep putting off), and made no bones about not wanting to go
- I could only have gone to the meeting if I'd left oh, ten minutes ago
- Rat Man knew all of the above, and is still not here
- I think he's "working late" so I can't make it to the meeting with the ironclad excuse (for myself) of not being able to go due to lack of child care

Marriage is a wonderful thing! :D

- the furnaces got done before it snowed
- I got new tires for the car before it snowed
- I got the Hallowe'en stuff up before it snowed
- I am home for five days while it snows
- I was gonna buy ratboots today anyway

- it's raining :)
- i live in California, which is one of the only places in the world where it's not insane to have a convertible
