Mine are retro too - my favourite pair of skates to date are some black ones that lolok like figure skates, that my parents bought from a pawn shop when I was about 15! Long time ago....

you know -- the important things in life

- my IQ is almost twice as high as the average (which allows me to have interesting conversations at parties instead of having to spend hundreds of dollars on wardrobe to make me *seem* interesting)

- I can sing, make jewelry, cook and make people feel really, really good :)

- I know better than to go around making fun of other people thinking it somehow makes me look cool and funny (as opposed to sad, bitter and desperate for attention)

- I know that how much money someone makes and what they look like is not an indicator of their actual worth (and that character, kindness, knowledge and skill are the only true currency)

- I know better than to post what I was actually going to post as my first line of gratefulness, which would offend someone I hold in high regard. :rolleyes:
