I don't find that even remotely funny, IMO.

^my opinionated little dog, Atticus (who desperately needs to be spayed) would spontaneously go berserk barking at that clown if he saw him.

...to which someone replied to "all":
When do the decapitations begin?

...and then someone else replied:
Can I bring my knitting and take down names?

...and then someone else replied:
Look for my booth - I'm selling mini wooden guillotines.

That sounds like fun, Brynn.

Brynn 06-28-2005 08:17 PM

I actually might go check it out! ;)

melissa 06-28-2005 09:10 PM

Let me know how much fun I miss out on!

Brynn 06-28-2005 09:23 PM

Portland, OR. - Fun Center Of the World. I'm amazed at all the fun I miss here. Like the Rose Festival - or the "Fun Center" at the Rose Festival - hoo boy, hold me back. As a pyro, I'm looking forward to the fireworks at the Blues Festival, though.

melissa 06-28-2005 09:39 PM

The fireworks are very cool. I like how the sounds echo off of the tall buildings downtown. I have watched them from the Eastside Esplanade for the past few years.

When I lived in London, we used to go up to Primrose Hill every November 5th for the Bonfire night fireworks. They'd have a huge bonfire going - loved it - and a fireworks display that went on for about half an hour - a long time standing in a park with your head tipped back going ooooh... ahhhh...!

4th July just isn't quite the same - for me bonfires and fireworks are forever autumn activities. Must be my pagan ancestry... :)
