^HA! I'm not crazy!:D

Tunesmith 06-20-2007 12:12 AM

Well, we'd been stealing shots of saki for around 1/2 an hour, so that might explain it.

Veruki 06-20-2007 12:13 AM

ok, I was completely sober...maybe I am crazy. :(

Tunesmith 06-20-2007 12:18 AM

Wear it like a badge, Veruki - feel free to introduce yourself with the words:

"Hi! I'm clinically insane!"

madasacutsnake 06-20-2007 06:07 AM

Finding that the australian version of this:

says "Crikey!"

One of my co-workers today revealed that when she was a child, her parents referred to the female nether-region as a "schmink". I nearly spewed coffee out my nose.

And someone else said something to the effect of "well yeah, but if shopping is what the kid DOESN'T want to do, and you take him out of there, you've just rewarded him" WRONG. That's where you've got to be smarter and use those little psychological tools. It only took a few nights of peanut butter sandwiches on white bread (YUK, no one in my family can stand white bread), and you ever so sweetly saying "well I'm so sorry sweetie, but you didn't want to be in the store, so we had to leave", and possibly mentioning "gosh too bad, we could have had mom's fried chicken tonight" and that'll cure that sort of thing.

Veruki 06-26-2007 01:04 AM

This was more of a laughing out of embaressment moment, but it made me laugh none the less. A conversation I just had with my boyfriend as I read a magazine:

b/f:...so the velociraptors in Jurassic Park are not representative of true velociraptors?

me: no, they were modeled after a different, larger dinosaur. Velociraptors were about the size of a turkey.

b/f: really? they couldn't have been that small.

me: yeah they were, I know because I'm a velociraptor.

My lesson of the day- If you read magazines instead of listening to your own conversations, you will say something stupid.;)

God Bless You devious and evil australian advisor to the scriptwriters, for you just made my week.

Avalon 06-26-2007 09:02 PM

could be....

Could be coincidence... but then again...

Many will recall that on July 8, 1947, witnesses claimed that an unidentified object with five aliens aboard crashed onto a sheep and cattle ranch just outside Roswell, New Mexico.
This is a well-known incident that many say has long been covered-up by the U.S. Air Force and the US government.

However, what you may NOT know is that in the month of March 1948, nine months after that historic day, George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Bill O'Reilly, Rush Limbaugh, Condolezza Rice, and Dan Quayle were all born.

See what happens when aliens breed with sheep??

This piece of information may clear up a lot of things

Myself two years ago.

I spoke to Fig Jam this week. She quit her current job when she found out that the government was funding her position and therefore (said in tone of righteous indignation), "my employers were getting me for nothing!".

I love the author of this article.

Quote:

Others think the fish are purposely attacking boaters who invade their turf, but Dr. Sulak said sturgeon were as docile as lambs. He sometimes acts as their public relations agent, encouraging curious boaters to watch as he nets sturgeon for population counts. They lie quietly on a scale in his boat, their rough, cold bodies looking bronze one second, greenish gold the next.

Some onlookers melt. “Once they see they’re not monstrous, they don’t have big teeth, they’re not mean — they’re kind of lovable, in a way,” he said, “that kind of defuses things.”

madasacutsnake 07-09-2007 04:35 AM

My work.

Care worker: I've tried to her attend her three times and she called me a b*tch so I walked out and left her

Mad resident: She just walked out on me!

Snake: Yes, but I know what you called her to make her walk out on you

Mad resident: I called her nothing that wasn't completely reasonable

And also.

"We got Mum stitching name labels on Dad's clothing because it's something we discovered she can still do.......then we found she'd sewn them all onto the fronts of his clothing"
