Sunday, ¿ question of the day ?
Have you ever experienced this funny feeling that you've become an actual adult? If yes, when and how? |
saturday: the whole fwking universe is in there. and blood, of course.
sunday: yes. a couple of years ago i went to the pub i used to frequent when i was 17 and it was still filled with 17 year olds. they were all so young. |
Am I an actual adult yet? Dunno  (And do I want to be that at all? Mmh... Gotta think that over the next one, two decades ;))
But the first time I felt sort of senior was either when a former maths student adressed me with "Sie" and "Frau B." this Friday evening, and then asked me whether I've already got my title cos it being almost 3 years ago I taught them in the excercises (woah! 3 years! feels like yesterday...). Or on one Sunday or the other when my baby sis called me, in one of her cheeky moods ;), "a real grown-up" (but at least I fall in the cool category for her just like her mom (she'll be 51 this year) :D And she is totally cool! They have this girl commune household, borrowing each others clothes, make-up shoes, partying together, telling each other about funny stuff when they come home from partying, discussing the guys etc - I wanna be a grown-up like my stepmom when I'm a grown-up :)) |

i think it happened today when i turned on nickelodeon for the first time in ages, saw a commercial that i felt was inappropriate for kids, and said to the spouse, "our kids are not watching that crap."
at that moment i not only became an adult, i became old. |
saturday: an ice ax, a boxing glove, a bunch of daisies, and a roll of dental floss.
sunday: when I arranged to be wed in the church of a religion I don't believe in, simply because it would make my mother very happy. |
New Q:
¿ What's your spice ? me: ginger and crazy ideas |
ceylon cinnamon. not as special as china cassia; unique, complex and less sweet than expected.
|
it used to be WEED
i guess it's basil-- strong, sweet and thrives in summer |
chili, lots of it
|
i'm with ysapur!
also, galangal |
(btw, can also be something that spices your life outside the culinary sector ;))
|
bird pepper and flammable sculpture

makes everything so delicious |
salt and light
|

There have been rumours that he's opened a tattoo studio in Croatia, tattooing elvish swearwords on chosen body parts.

i'm afraid he's quite unavailable right now, he's dealing with an urgent message delivered by legolas earlier today.
|
AA cancelled his flight - he's stuck in Denver airport, obviously

Your mind itself is Gandalf. Do not look beyond it for him.

good work ¿ what's taters ? |
They are made up from taterinos which come in various flavours: mashed, salt&buttered, stewey, crispy, chipsy, pancakey, filled...
|
^nice try but we both know you lifted that sentence straight out of your thesis
|
^Sorry, it was too tempting to just c&p ;)
OK: Taters are a friendly tribe, living beyond 8 hills and 3½ rivers from where you stand at the moment, they tame and ride rubber ducks and speak a language consisting only of vowels and are thus not happy about the name they were given by the adventurer T. A. T. Ers who was almost run over by a rubber duck when he crossed the ½ river in 1713. |
taters, precious, is the colloquial name for a rather delightful flavor of cajun spiced chips.
they're called ![]() |
Oh, and I thought it referred to the Tator family, who, like the Medicis in Italy, have always had important behind-the-scenes political influence in the Americas. Dick has some interests in Venezuela, but - so I've heard - his power and vews are seeping into other countries as well.
zero, what's the question of the hour? |
