^?. My most memorable day was nearly identical to Brynn's. I did not know we shared this passion. It's Saturday and I am free to do whatever, after the usual errands and tasks.
What shall I do? What would you do? |

With the modest sum he had saved from an early business as an aardvark impressionist, Bman funded a trip to Paris to further his classical education in ballet. Spending his days dancing and his nights listening to experimental Tyrolean Pan flute maslenitza carols, he soon resolved never to leave. He was an imposing figure, rarely seen without his riding crop and otter tooth necklace. However, during a torrid love affair with Josephine Baker he revealed that he prefers kiwi fruit to bananas. She struck him repeatedly in the ankles with a first edition of The Etheric Double and Allied Phenomena, by Arthur Powell. The injury and subsequent heartbreak drove him back home, to our benefit. Despite his advanced age and debilitating involuntary cringing disorder, he can serve a four course meal in three courses, holds the world record for speed rose gardening, and can solve quadratic equations in six languages. None of these skills can hold a candle to his impending performance tonight. Please join me in welcoming.... Mr. Bman! |
^^ obviously mo answered the question from the OTHER day...
((i am fairly embarrassed)) :o |
^^ :D :D :D

^Both are uncanny especially in regards to labels, walruses and jaunty hats, I will never write another bio again.

I watched part of Rachael Ray the other morning, where Mario Batali made a robust-looking jalapeno pesto.
Our TV (admittedly mostly for gaming and netflix) is that new-fangled ridiculously high definition, so I got heartburn. |
i'm watching tv right now
|
i have not had a show that i sat down regularly to watch
since i dream of jeanie i watched the DVDs of the sopranos and with my husband we basically watched on show a night right through all the episodes not sure if i enjoyed it or not later when i was sick i watche big love more or less went right through all the seasons in a few days mostly i did it because i love Tom Hanks :) other than that, no real tv whatsoever i have sent a lot of money to the cable provider throughout the years though |
Actual TV set?
Not in a couple years...don't even own one. I only watch Netflix and that doesn't even carry current shows. Last TV series I watched was the complete SOAP series from the 70's(?) What a fabulous show btw. |
I watch a lot of TV. Hours and hours and hours of it sometimes. With snacks, weed and a snuggie. And a cat. It's wonderful. Sometimes I fall asleep watching it. It's replaced almost all of my most meaningful relationships.
|
^i would if I didn't have a full time job! TIVO is great for Curb.
|
^Brynn should open a spa, this sounds fantastic
|
I like that post, thanks, zero.
I never watched too much TV. Now I watch it with irregular frequency, at about once in two months. I hate ads. I think it will be those that will eventually put me off the internet, too. |
^ That's what TiVo's for!
I watch a lot right now since I'm employed by a television-watching company of a dubious nature that doesn't exist. |
i am enjoying an xmas holiday of 2 weeks   :)
so far, i've done the following:
|
I believe I shall be starting a new job this Xmas holiday, after a month plus job hunt. Not getting hopes up because all jobs seem to suck these days, but some work is better than no work. At least it is in a field I have enjoyed working before.
I shall be: -sending good job juju to several also out of work friends this season. -spending xmas day with mother and that other person. -snuggling my cat (shut it Marcus, that is not a metaphor). -trying to stay warm on my boat. -phoning friends since I'm way to disorganized to send cards (TYVM dear, you know who you are...PM a current # if you would like a call to :) ) -being thankful for the positive things in my life, and trying not to be too negative about the other stuff. |
I'm going to have a happy holiday.
I'm planning to: - read and re-read (Larsson, Pratchett, and some yet to be received for Christmas books) - watch all James Bond movies then Shrek, Lion King, Ice Age, the Prince of Egypt etc. - learn a bit of Russian every day - visit my sister - do a bit of cleaning - go to the zoo (if the weather permits) - cook and eat good things |
I am judging the Dictionary Game :p
I am looking forward to washing the dog hair out of my bathrobe, and taking lights down from the front yard that were lit all year until they shorted out right as the holiday season started. We are happily planning to do fwkall for xmas and new years. I have some presents to mail off at some point in the next week or so (deadline prioritization - DG gets judged before xmas gets posted). I have also received a few lovely cards from various corners of the globe, which I will answer in kind :) |
