"Poetry is knowledge, salvation, power, abandonment. An operation capable of changing the world, poetic activity is revolutionary by nature; a spiritual exercise; it is a means of interior liberation. Poetry reveals this world; it creates another.”
―Octavio Paz, quoted in Bruce Mc Eve r’s essay “Poetry: A Bridge to the Sacred" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ My Back Pages Crimson flames tied through my ears Rollin’ high and mighty traps Pounced with fire on flaming roads Using ideas as my maps “We’ll meet on edges, soon,” said I Proud ’neath heated brow Ah, but I was so much older then I’m younger than that now Half-wracked prejudice leaped forth “Rip down all hate,” I screamed Lies that life is black and white Spoke from my skull. ~~~~ ^This is reality but the part in India is not because they have helpers in the home there to do this also for me putting the laundry in and transferring it to the dryer is a piece of cake slowing everything down to get it folded and put away nicely gets in the way of ballet lessons and putting groceries in the refrigerator and cooking dinner walking the dog bedtime reading etc. Who wants to be the mother of small children when it takes the husband one hour to drive home and you look forward to have dinner waiting for him name of short movie: In America |

season 1 episode 2 hopefully someone will say something and I won't have to keep this up ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 2. http://www.pri.org/stories/2013-07-2...-old-tradition you have to listen to it (press the button) but they like to feed us b.s. another version says she has to spend the night in a tent by herself with a dead goat which makes a little bit of sense when you think about the fact that the fire is inside the TP and if you leave the food that you slaughtered for dinner outside it will freeze so this wouldn't be particularly weird or unusual •i'm imagining after I contemplated it• |

lion won .... ~~~~~~~~~ The limerick’s origins. Although no one knows for sure, the limerick form is thought to have germinated in France during the Middle Ages, after which it crossed the English Channel. An 11th century manuscript demonstrates the limerick’s cadence: The lion is wondrous strong And full of the wiles of wo; And whether he pleye Or take his preye He cannot do but slo (slay) The form contains five lines with trimeter (three-beat) measures in the first, second, and fifth lines and dimeter (two-beat) measures in the second and fourth. While this rhyme scheme of abccb differs from an Irish limerick, the similarity is unmistakable. Little Miss Muffet The limerick became rooted in children’s literature thanks to Mother Goose nursery rhymes. (William Wallace Denslow, Denslow’s Mother Goose, 1902) From Shakespeare to Mother Goose Five centuries later, William Shakespeare used the limerick’s rhythm in Stephano’s drinking song in The Tempest, as well as in Othello and King Lear. Yet it wasn’t until the early 1700s that soldiers returning from the continent-wide War of the Spanish Succession brought the limerick form to Ireland. In 1776, it appeared in published form in Mother Goose’s Melodies; 25 years later, when Mother Goose nursery rhymes attained fame, the limerick was forever affixed to children’s literature. During that time, a group of local Irish poets composed limericks during drinking sessions at various pubs – including, some say, a pub in Limerick that was already noted for its pub crawl chorus, "Will you please come up to Limerick?" continue reading |

Lost Horizon
(1937) ~~~~~~~~ write down your favorite sentence |
here are a couple of things
you may or not know about me I once signed up to work on a hippie / Sufi commune (that is loosely connected with the Omega Institute) as a farm worker in exchange for room and board ... I stayed through the season about five miles months until the first snow fall (it was on the Massachusetts New York border) after that starting when I was 24 I worked as a live in housekeeper/ cook for 4 years for a family with 3 children who lived on Main Street in Concord Massachusetts (to be continued) |
If you read the Wikipedia about the book
Lost Horizon it mentions Joeseph Rock in my opinion He or someone like him went to the area of China where The Mosuo tribe now live in China and impregnated many woman ((maybe by artificial insemination!*)) ha! ha! and that is why the people of the Mosuo Tribe are taller than the Naxi People What do you think? Could Mo be correct? ps ⭐️*My Uncle Oswald is quite an entertaining book⭐️ give me something to go on..... please |
