With some help, I stretched the canvas for my HSC major artwork that will be consuming my life until August. And it's bigger than I am. I've never worked on anything bigger than A1 paper, so it's quite daunting, and has had me wondering quite seriously whether I've had a lapse in rational thought to undertake such a thing.

zero 02-16-2009 07:06 AM

li'l 'be - i hope you'll maybe possibly perhaps let us see a picture of it when it's all finished.. just if you want to, y'know?

it's going to be a very, very thing, so it is.

Odbe 02-16-2009 07:46 AM

^:o On shaky legs about putting its picture up on the internet - what with all the paintophiles these days. But certainly I will send pictures via email for the interested people.

Frieda 02-16-2009 02:34 PM

*waves hand*

interested! :):)

MoJoRiSin 02-16-2009 09:41 PM

i'm in

Odbe 02-17-2009 05:38 AM

:) Thanks for the interest guys, it's going to be a bumpy ride for a good few months before it's done though. The buckle-your-seatbelts light has been on already, and I haven't even put brush to canvas yet.

Brynn 02-18-2009 02:05 AM

How 'bout now? :)

The woman who was supposed to come teach instead of the retired thieving biddy didn't pass her exams so she cannot teach at our school.

I'm starting to lose my patience as well as my mind because there's so much work that I don't have time for anything pleasant.

Jack Flanders 02-20-2009 02:03 AM

^ well that really sucks. Sorry.

lukkucairi 02-21-2009 05:41 PM

for the first time in years and years and years, I really want a cigarette...

Frieda 02-25-2009 07:40 AM

fwking plane crash :(

Hyakujo's Fox 02-25-2009 10:08 AM

lucky is a relative term

Frieda 02-25-2009 10:12 AM

awful :(

YsaPur EsChomuw 02-25-2009 06:07 PM

^ unbelievable! as if the airplane was made of paper

Coffee 02-25-2009 08:17 PM

Airplanes are built like paper...they are NOT deisgned to both fly And survive a "hard" crash. They couldn't fly if they could survive a hard crash...the extra weight would ground em.

If I were king of the world, i would insist that "crash landing ponds" would be created adjacent to every airport...and spaced every 50 miles between major airports along heavily flown routes. Imagine if there was a handy mile long "reservoir/lake park" that was 8 feet deep available to "soft crash" in during emergencies. A splash down is far safer than a sparking metal tearing/scraping emergency landing on concrete. When not being used for emergency landings, they could be used as Park and Rec areas. When needed for an emergency landing, speakers around the park blare out an emergency signal and folks enjoying the park have time to get the fark away from the area just in case.

oh...an anouncement. The people in charge of our safety in the air are stupid.

trisherina 02-26-2009 02:22 AM

Aviation in itself is not inherently dangerous. But to an even greater degree than the sea, it is terribly unforgiving of any carelessness, incapacity or neglect.

Mm, yes, I see what you mean Frieda. It just doesn't suit you.

MoJoRiSin 02-28-2009 09:39 PM

:p :) ;) :D

Odbe 02-28-2009 09:53 PM

I tried to post this last night but it seems it didn't go through

For those curious, I am making little updates about my artastic adventure on my slightly used Twitter. Also does anyone here have a Twitter for me to watch?

Stephi_B 03-01-2009 04:32 AM

I wanna announce that March was properly danced into (6h long) :D and that the physical and psychical unfitness November, December, January and particularly February (:p @ ya) brought over me was successfully overcome.

YsaPur EsChomuw 03-03-2009 05:58 PM

I don't want to go to bed, although I feel extremely tired.

zero 03-03-2009 06:04 PM

i suggest that to pass the time you go outside and report back on the wind strength, direction & colour in your slovakias

YsaPur EsChomuw 03-03-2009 06:06 PM

No. My Mum told me I was not to go out in my nightie after ten o'clock, because it's not ladylike.

zero 03-03-2009 06:11 PM

especially if there's a big pink wind blowing down your mountains of tribeč!

YsaPur EsChomuw 03-03-2009 06:15 PM

ok, ok, the wind is southerly, but blowing from Slovenské rudohorie.

 Now you've made me lie - there's absolutely no wind atm.

Ahh, you secretly took a picture of me when I was practicing levitation in my blue jammies! How impudent.

I still maintain that there's no wind in Košice, even though it's an extremely rare occasion.

:D , yes, accompanied by the tune of various wind instruments. A bit lewd, too. They way most folksongs are.

YsaPur EsChomuw 03-05-2009 10:18 AM

I HAT tetanus shots. They're pain in the... well, upper arm.

lukkucairi 03-06-2009 01:36 PM

I love Ysa's avatar - it brings me great pleasure.

Stephi_B 03-08-2009 10:07 AM

^me too!! :)

My best mate is daddy now :):):):) Of the sweetest girl ever! :):):):)
(since Thursday, he is more than forgiven to be late -- yesternight -- in congratulating me to my, already established, bday)

So wow, gonna visit them threes in the Viennas when the hyperstress is over; just now my mate is taking on zillions of calls and preparing everything, from the scratch, so typical, he's a last-minute man out of principle :D, his two ladies are still in hospital, but both healthy and fine and all!
