oh what the hell :p |
Actually, lulu, your eating habits are a lot like mine...grazing. It can work really well. So can one meal a day, just depends.
Frieda, I will estimate calories for you, but you're going to have to give me a day or two..I have a lot of things due on Thursday and a couple of exams... but my first impression thought is if you had the yogurt and nectarines and added in some dark green salad, it looks better than average! |
a chocolate roll
a sweet bun filled with poppyseed mix an apple a litre of lime falvoured rooibos tea my colleague's wedding pastries (can't remember the exact number, but more than five) unidentifiable canteen soup at work (there was some smoked meat in it and yucky noodle-like pieces of pasta) fried tofu with peas, carrots and cabbage (canteen menu) chocolate four fresh walnuts (found on my way home) another apple ... and it's 5 p.m. so the day isn't over yet. I'll probably eat another apple drink tap water and have either bread with French spread or cook polenta with cheese and chili. (That is, if I don't feel too lazy, which I usually do.) |

^Well, it depends on what your usual intake is, but I've heard some nutritionists say that if you cut too many calories at one time, your body may go into "starvation mode" and respond by adjusting two particular hormones in an effort to conserve resources...one will function to make it harder for fat to leave your fat cells, and the other will function to make it easier to store fat in your fat cells. I know some people who don't seem to have had that response, but if you go on a big diet and don't lose weight, try eating more for a bit, and then start exercising a little more and cut 200 calories at a time. When you plateau again, cut 200 more, and add in more exercise...
blah blah blah. :D Your photos always look great. Don't worry about it too much. |

so lessee, 24 hours, eh?
pasta & arrabiata sauce with a generous amount of parmesan cheese on top 0.5 avocado 0.5 tomato olive oil & balsamic vinegar 1 coffee with 2 sugars 1 bowl soy milk & whole foods raisin granola 6 pieces of sushi (california roll), soy sauce & ginger 1 cup of fries with wasabi mayo 0.5 packs of those red gummy strawberry flavored candies 3 pieces of bean desserts 1 box full of various stuff from the hot bar at whole foods: edamame, white cabbage, indian stuffs in curry, brown rice, bit of mac&cheese, some seaweed just to see what it tastes like (blech), couscous, and other delightful stuff. 1.19 lb total says my receipt (holy cow that's a bit much maybe. oh well.) 1 glass of italian soda, way more sugary than i had thought it would be |
Okay, good advice. That explains a lot.
Breakfast: coffee a big pile of celery with a Tbsp of cream cheese and a Tbsp of almond butter Lunch: a blended 'green" drink Smelled:my husband's fried spam sandwich he ate right in front of me. Then: a slice of processed ham eaten in protest of the green drink Snack: a handful of sunflower seeds, and a bowl of cherry tomatoes from the garden Looked at: a chocolate bar but did not consume. Looked at: feta cheese but then thought "eh." Looked at and inhaled at the seams of the box but did not open: Cheezits Engaged in: separating my egoic desire to eat when not actually physically hungry from Who I Really Am, as well as squelching desire to berate husband for buying Cheezits for the kids and deciding to not take it as "a savage attempt to personally sabotage me" but rather to see it objectively as an unconscious act of Not Thinking Things Through Entirely. Dinner: green drink left over quinoa with chicken, mushyrooms, red onions and curry salted avocado with rice crackers However, the evening is not yet over. I am looking forward to drinking a large glass of water instead of eating that bar of milk chocolate my husband left lying around, which has absolutely nothing to do with me and I don't even know why I brought it up. |
^^( yay - another celery eater! and what does your *green drink* consist of?)
