MINGUS!!

Mingusmingusmingus.

I briefly considered naming my child Mingus.

Thelonius Monk is also better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. MMmmm...that man played the piano like it was a percussion instrument, and I've never heard it adequately reproduced.

My jazz band played Boogie Stop Shuffle at our last concert and it was AWESOME! We blew the audience away. :D

Dude! Mind if I borrow that for my firstborn? My future wife is so going to hate me.

You've heard Monk and Coltrane at Carnegie Hall, right?

When the time machine gets invented, that's on my list of concerts to go back and attend.

Silversun Pickups - lazy eye

I saw them in February and hated their style, but I just bought one of their albums on an impulse, and now this song's on repeat.

Flower of Scotland-
not sure of who the recording is of, but it's got brass and (I think I hear) some woodwinds. I've never heard this before, it's nice.
