the inclusion of pomegranate and grapefruit on the "untasty" side of the graph makes me doubt the researcher's qualifications. while the pomegranate certainly qualifies as the most difficult fruit, the tactile sensation of eating pomegranate seeds is one of the best fruity experiences one can have. one could say, if one were a qualified fruit expert (as this person obviously is not) that the tactile nature of the pomegranate is far more important than any discussion of flavor.

the chart was obviously drawn by a fruit school dropout. or an undergraduate at a state fruitiversity at best.

it may be that what's meant by "tasty" is the relative strength/powerful ness of each fruit's typical taste in comparison to the others

grapefruit is a pretty strong flavor.

dammit i'm going to have to make my own chart and erase that abomination.

au contraire, ma soeur
, I beg to differ.

The observation of this graph makes me think that it could well be a multi-dimensional representation of study on fruit, where different subjects were asked to group/rate fruits according to their tastiness, difficulty, tartness, sugariness etc...

The fruitist collected the information and organized it into a space map reflecting distances between the said fruit according to two of the dimensions studied in the test, i.e. "difficulty" and "tastiness".

I am not surprised to see bananas on the untasty side. Though many people love bananas, myself included, I know at least two people who HAT bananas and cannot even stand to be in the same room as a banana. It only took a few people with very intense judgements to bring bananas down below average, even though a large majority of people like bananas.

In light of this it is my opinion that this fruitist is well on his way to becoming a Master of the fruit.

 the spouse HATS bananas and won't enter the kitchen as long as one is out and visible on the countertop. it's unforgivable banana bigotry.

What a double-devious plan! It's actually a pink kitten masquerading as a pig (note the whiskers) while secretly, it's a tissue box.
