well, there's myself, of course... but who knows, sometimes you can't cry, at least immediately, sometimes you might cry depending on the way you hear the news, you can cry when a character in a movie dies, or someone's tragic story is told on the television, you might cry for a stranger if they died in front of you.
If you ask how many people there are whose deaths would definitely be something awful and disturbing for me, there are probably a dozen or so people who are like the permanent cast of my life, and maybe half a dozen or more who are playing a major role right now, then it becomes a little cloudy. |

Interesting question - As a teenager, I didn't cry immediately when my father died - it took a couple of years. But nowadays I tend to cry for anything and everybody, including - and especially - pets. I'm an indiscriminate crybaby. When I was pregnant it was even worse - I found myself crying while watching Folger's commercials or the National Cheerleading Championships, and I don't even like high school cheerleaders. Something about the fact that this stupid event would probably be the highlight of their young lives, and then unending banality thereafter...

i think i cried during an episode of House M.D. once. Well, i shed a tear. Kind of.
|
I'd guess at any given time probably about 150 people, met and unmet. That's the Dunbar number.
Internal psychology also plays a huge role as to whether the death of someone I don't know affects me. I never expected to cry for Ronald Reagan, but I did. I don't even like Reagan! |

New ¿question?, for Wed 10/31/07:
OK, maybe not scary as Halloween would require... now unless what you think romantic is rather scary for most other people? ¿What was the most romantic thing a lover/boyfriend/girlfriend/wife/husband ever did for you? For me that was when my ex played for me on the guitar (which he had brought along all the 800-900km travelling by coach to Berlin extra for that reason) - out on the balcony, some of my neighbours popped their heads out after a while. And he also sang to it - actually quite good! - after some encouragement, some indie thingies, dunno, been too occupied with grinning quite daffy.... :) |
Told my teary face that Pete Townshend was probably thinking about me. And provided some excellent DNA (it's a tie).
|
ah, paula was so sweet.
she gave me something i'll carry with me all my life. luckily i've got some iodine cream for it. :o |
This is the second question of the day I don't want to touch with a ten-foot pole. Maybe I need a nap. :o
|
^^that's romantic + *ouch-ouch* all in one... people with phantasy might get some Halloween feeling after all. (I hat having so much phantasy btw!)
My gitarrero left me 2, 3 warts at 1,2 places - had like totally forgotten about that part :o - but they vanished on their own just like him, well and actually even faster... Can somebody else bring in/back more romantique now? ;) ^Perla, what was the other one? :) |
^yesterday's...should have said "second in a row." :o
|
^They put something in Berlin's drinking water, one common side effect is to ask impearlable questions... ;) Don't be embarrassed Perla Mia! :)

saved my life via heimlich maneuver on first date.

^The shut-up man brought you flowers, kneeled before you and stuck a golden ring with diamond on your finger? :p
Unromantic bunch here! No, OK, Lukku's is romantic, CJ's is at least halfways, lasting memory and all that! :) Next time I ask something entirely different: favourite colour, middle name, stuff like that... ;) |
um
one boyfriend gave me a cat for my birthday and then there was the guy i dated that did some excellent all-night luuuurvemakin business and the girl that sent me flowers on my birthday but all the other really romantic stuff usually just freaks me out  |
^Hey that are romantic things! :)
Ah, sorry folks, I should have said something about that it doesn't need to be something hollywood-kitsch-romantic, but something that moved/touched/surprised/overwhelmed/... you. Mmh :( So... also as an excuse, something simple&nice for today 11/1/2007: ¿ What's your favourite gemstone ? Mine: Tiger's Eye ![]() |
Coal.
Just kidding. :D I like amber the best, probably, ![]() (this green piece is nice) but also turquoise. ![]() (this green stuff is nice) And pearls, of course. :) ![]() (umm...apparently green is my favorite color.) I like to do beadwork, so I love the unusual colors of the usual stones, even though those are often considered less valuable. From buying beads, I've learned that you have to be careful about where the materials come from (some of it is mined by children and such  ) and also what it really is...so much is dyed, or it's stabilized chalk, etc. It can get really frustrating. I recently bought a teeny drill so I can make beads out of whatever I want... bottle cap bracelet? coffee bean earrings? bowling ball choker? |
oooh oooh ooooh
ipod tiara! |
A pearlable question! :)
|
I had an ex who was into "stones and energies".
Apparently a good stone for me is citrine ![]() The name comes from the french "citron" (citrus) that's why i am |
^^yep, I heart beads. :o

¿ question of the day ? for friday november 2nd you are forced to have a word or sentence of your own choice tattooed across your forehead. what will it be? |
|
That would be
¡¿Que?! cos it's short, responding to thoughts/questions others might have when meeting a person having a tattoo on their forehead, reflecting what thought/question goes on behind that particular forehead most of the time, yeah well and I kinda dig the capital letter Q and inverted punctuation marks ain't bad either (thankya lord of this bread for inspiration! ;)) |
