Brynn 02-07-2009 01:50 AM

oh dear, did someone ask this question already while i was smoking crack?
dang

Jack Flanders 02-07-2009 02:58 AM

^ ya back when we were doing diapers and we just laughed.

Stephi_B 02-07-2009 10:38 AM

Can't remember to have answered/laughed that qotd or to have shared the pipe with Brynn , so:

over, even at my place where I put it standing on that kinda shelf formed by the central heating, I put it such that when I've grabbed it it has the top leaf pointing over.... Why?! Can't have learned it from my granny (like all other household rituals) for she proceeds like Odbe I only recently noticed again, slightly irritated as usual when meeting rolls with under-configuration ;)

New QotD for 07.02.09:

¿ Which month of the year do you like most and which least - or do you have no preferences ?

mine:

most - can't say definitely, though June is usually the neatest

least - definitely February, good it's so short!

Frieda 02-07-2009 11:23 AM

i like march/april the most, because the air smells so fresh and the sun gets warmer and flowers come up

i don't like november much, too early for xmas lights and too late for autumn colors. there's always 28 days of pouring rain and 2 days of crazy snow mayhem.

trisherina 02-07-2009 12:59 PM

Nothing bad ever happens in July. It is full and radiant, a broad smile. By mid August the first twinges of loss creep in.

January is the worst. The -30 days where the cold sucks your eyes out are always in January. The same number of days as July, but always much, much longer.

People who plan to retire to warmer climates around here almost always speak of doing so "this fall." Anything to stay away from January.

MoJoRiSin 02-07-2009 04:10 PM

(this my answer for 2.06.09)

there was once an Archie Bunker episode where he (Archie)
yelled at his son in law for doing this incorrectly
i remember it distinctly
Archie thinks the correct fashion is
over the top

MoJoRiSin 02-07-2009 04:25 PM

July and August are the sunniest months here in Portland so I guess I will say that those are my favorites at this point...however, my goal is to have two places to reside. My sister lives in Houston so if all else fails, maybe someday I will live there November through May.
who knows :)

I have to say there is no month I like least

zero 02-07-2009 05:11 PM

bless them all

12"razormix 02-07-2009 08:50 PM

gesundheit! :)

Jack Flanders 02-07-2009 10:30 PM

May - like

March - dislike

xfox 02-07-2009 11:47 PM

each has its own moments - all of them

lukkucairi 02-08-2009 02:15 PM

I like August/September - the end of the summer when the heat is still baking the desert and all the native plants have died and turned blond in the sun

I could do without February, but couldn't we all?

treekisser 02-08-2009 03:24 PM

April is the cruelest month.

Do you prefer a home made Valentine?

zero 02-08-2009 05:32 PM

i suppose this means you've mailed me one of your heart-shaped biscuits again this year

Stephi_B 02-08-2009 05:55 PM

I prefere a spontaneous-suprise-made Valentine also, and especially on one or several of the other 364 (365) days of the year :)

Frieda 02-08-2009 06:57 PM

as long as it contains chocolate :p

MoJoRiSin 02-09-2009 12:37 AM

home made

Odbe 02-09-2009 02:51 AM

Home made for sure. But really, IQD is more my thing.

lukkucairi 02-09-2009 03:39 AM

what is this "valentine" technology you speak of?

we have nothing like it on my home planet.

brightpearl 02-09-2009 04:32 PM

Yup, I like to give and receive the homemade ones.

PS Odbe, I would love to have one of your heart-shaped biscuits. Ezra just doesn't know what's good.

I would love to have one of your homemade cloth noses, Ezra. Minxy Mixy just doesn't know what's good.

Brynn, Make sure he tries that one on and models it for you before removing the price tag. Size does matter.

Brynn 02-10-2009 02:36 PM

Oh my goodness, that's exactly what it looks like, isn't it? :p
