they're bridal gowns!

ahhhhhh i remember that image fondly. a couple years ago i trolled a wedding website and tried to foist that gown off as my own. it had a backstory and everything.

she was a young canadian girl, betrothed to an american man whose neo-conservative family felt justified in eyeballing all foreigners suspiciously in this, our post-9/11 world. to make amends, the canadian bride intended to throw a pro-USA themed wedding complete with american flag gown, 4th of july party favors, and a tiered wedding cake iced in red white and blue decorations.

i got a good hysterical run out of that character. those were the days.
