i got a happy from my new watch

lots of happys :) :)

Coffee 05-10-2007 07:36 AM

It made me happy seeing Freida has happies. (cool watch btw)

I'd have actual happies instead of second hand happies, but it's only 3:farking:30 AM.

My chai tea & honey is trying to give me happies.

Actual happy alert! (...just woke up.)
I have a new digicam. fujifinepix A800.

Odbe 05-10-2007 07:40 AM

excuse me frieda, sorry to bother you, but do you happen to have the correct time please?

nobody tell frieda, but of course i'm just pretending to want to know the time because we all know that following on from the happy you get from a new watch there always comes the string of little ever-diminishing happys you get every time someone asks you the time

everybody give frieda happys by asking her what time it is!!!

LOL I'm not buying it, Mr. Flanders.

The thing I've discovered as people have seen the photo is they either recognize him immediately and burst into laughter or have no idea who he is, which puts me in the awkward position of having to explain. I've been surprised at some of the folks who recognize him right off the bat. (My mom and my boss included!)

craig johnston 05-10-2007 10:44 AM

frieda's return gives me a whopping happy.

you know what time it is!

Yikes! Sorry! Mea culpa. I suppose "Landscaper mama" below your name should've clued me in. I'll get all this straight eventually.

Dorkahontas, indeed. :(

Veruki 05-10-2007 03:50 PM

i just found a bunch of old lullabies that my grandmothers used to sing to me. huge happy!:)

if anyone knows spanish this is my favorite:

Los cochinitos ya estn en la cama,
muchos besitos les dio su mam,
y calientitos los tres en pijama
dentro de un rato los tres roncarn.

Uno soaba que era Rey
y de momento quiso un pastel
su real ministro le hizo traer
quinientos pasteles noms para el.

Otro soaba que en el mar
en una barca iba a remar
ms de repente a embarcar
se cay de la cama y se puso a llorar.

Los cochinitos ya estn en la cama,
muchos besitos les dio su mam,
y calientitos los tres en pijama
dentro de un rato los tres roncarn.

El ms pequeo de los tres
un cochinito lindo y corts
ese soaba con trabajar
para ayudar a su pobre mam.

y as soando sin descansar
los cochinitos pueden jugar
ronca que ronca y vuelve a roncar
a pas de los sueos se van a jugar.

Little cute warm furry dog. Awwwww.

Frieda 05-11-2007 06:42 AM

a nice long, dark, loud burp. ahhhh.. :)

Tunesmith 05-12-2007 09:51 PM

A quick but perfect kiss from my girlfriend up in the tech booth tonight. I was down on my knees, trying to help her look for her phone under the table, and *BAM* - i was left reeling for 10 minutes afterwards.

You know you love someone when they want to kiss you even after you've just blown your nose into a large tissue

zero 05-12-2007 10:01 PM

^"gived you a hard on" bread

Tunesmith 05-12-2007 10:03 PM

^ ^ Don't tell me - JesusTitties started it ;)

brightpearl 05-15-2007 07:13 PM

I love this. Dr. Strangelove still shots recreated with household items. Note that you can scroll through the gallery with the "next" buttons.

Tunesmith 05-15-2007 10:11 PM

^ ^ How ironic! I was nearly thrown out of band class today for pretending to have Dr. Strangelove Syndrome! :D

I'd love to say it gave the clarinet section a happy, but our teacher was kinda pissed...

auntie aubrey 05-15-2007 10:35 PM

i could use a happy today, if anyone has one to spare.

i would be willing to part with this minidonk in exchange for said happies.

Veruki 05-15-2007 11:53 PM

last August there was a very bad kitchen fire caused by and electical short behind the self-cleaning oven in my home. today I got my fridge and dishwasher, the last two things things that were missing.

This is beyond a happy. Never thought I'd miss doing groceries, or cleaing up the stove. Now that I have everything back I can't stop looking at it and wanting to do things in it. I made my first non-bbq, non-take out meal today.

brightpearl 05-16-2007 01:27 PM

Hey auntie, I've been needing a happy today as well. Maybe this will help both of us a little.
I just planted a couple of these bat-faced cupheas:

and some elfin thyme.

The names alone are cute overload.

brightpearl 05-18-2007 08:25 PM

Lookit, this dog is nursing a puppy and tiger triplets.

I have to go lie down now.

T.I.P. 05-18-2007 08:26 PM

that paradise city clip gave me a wicked happy :)

brightpearl 05-19-2007 02:11 PM

Having a band-aid when I need one.

It's so nice that they come in so many forms.

DiggerDude 05-19-2007 03:18 PM

This song gave me a happy.
It's even better if you played the awesome N64 cult classic that is Buck-Bumble.

Adopting old threads is a good way to alleviate boredom.

lukkucairi 05-19-2007 10:30 PM

grew it from seed, and it graced me with a single flower at 1 year old and 6" tall :)

Tunesmith 05-19-2007 11:50 PM

I was sitting on the patio this morning, just contemplating, and a bunch of these beautiful things started to fall around me.

Ah, nature's perfect little helicopters.

It made me want to write poetry.

Frieda 05-20-2007 06:13 AM

surbhi is back :)

brightpearl 05-20-2007 03:35 PM

Overhearing my son whispering sweetly to his Spiderman action figure.

brightpearl 05-21-2007 02:23 PM

How is it that dysphonia can lead to euphoria?

craig johnston 05-21-2007 04:12 PM

that gave me an extra big happy.

the ramones really changed my life. my first band's set consisted of their first album almost in its entirety. those songs were so easy to play! and if they could be in a band, anyone could. one of the very few punk bands i can still listen to today. i wish they'd split up after 'rocket to russia' though, they might still be alive.

karma_queen 05-21-2007 05:57 PM

(and judy is a punk, obviously :))

craig johnston 05-21-2007 06:01 PM

third verse, different from the first!

brightpearl 05-22-2007 10:18 AM

It makes me happy that the Ramones ring a bell with so many of you.

It's raining it's pouring,
The old man is snoring.
He went to bed,
And bumped his head,
And couldn't get up in the morning.

I love when it rains...

It hasn't been proven, but my theory is that this is better for your health than an apple a day.
