she is on sabbatical

brightpearl 03-01-2009 03:17 PM

Maybe she's a little bit in a pickle but it will be okay.

lukkucairi 03-01-2009 03:20 PM

^ I'll get you some sharp cheddar to go with it - everything will be OK!

:D

(good to see ya!)

Stephi_B 03-01-2009 04:11 PM

Marcus Bales 03-01-2009 08:45 PM

She wriggled free.

lukkucairi 03-02-2009 01:33 PM

NEW! qotd

could you go outside for a minute please and report back on the wind strength, direction & colour where you are?

YsaPur EsChomuw 03-03-2009 05:34 PM

No.

zero 03-03-2009 05:45 PM

^i'm pretty sure that's because ysa feels that the wind in her slovakias is way too personal a matter to discuss here

YsaPur EsChomuw 03-03-2009 05:57 PM

^ When I was a little girl, Mum told me not to discuss such matters in public; the best thing - this was her advice - is not to take notice of its/their strength, direction and smell. Although, I must admit, she had never mentioned anything about the colour!

Stephi_B 03-03-2009 06:23 PM

It is soft wind just now, no strength whatsoever, further it cannot decide whether it comes from East or South (definitely not Southeast though) and likewise it switches between violet and mint green.

It is however a bit magenta of you Mr Zerö to ask such things in this direct, strength 11 way from Northwest, women cannot always talk about that....

zero 03-03-2009 06:35 PM

thank for your candour stephi in describing your confused wind

madasacutsnake 03-03-2009 06:43 PM

I didn't go outside because unlike the advertising says, I didn't get to experience all four seasons, and on 1st March it turned to wintry. But I can report that it is still and therefore directionless. There is a slight tinge of mauve.

that's a pretty one alright asmadasamadmad - we should do this more often

Frieda 03-03-2009 08:43 PM

I'd see a meteorologist about that.

MoJoRiSin 03-03-2009 09:55 PM

yes, no problem

lukkucairi 03-04-2009 03:40 AM

it's dark out now

but earlier today the wind was strong enough to fly the entire giant american flag at the used car lot

it threw gravel at my car as I went over the overpass

it blew gray and white and tan dust high into the air

it was a warm beige wind for sure - a taste of desert where it's summer already

tomorrow it's going to snow, or so they claim

Odbe 03-04-2009 04:24 AM

It's light but a little bit insistent, wants you to know it's there but not overbearing. It's a very pale yellow cooling down to a little bit silvery when it comes around my door. The direction is parallel to the sea.

Hyakujo's Fox 03-04-2009 04:47 AM

strolling back in from the bay where it had gotten a little chilly. colour: drab

Brynn 03-04-2009 06:47 AM

It's black. It's cold. It comes from Antarctica. It has pins in it.

Coffee 03-04-2009 03:02 PM

Snollygosters blowing sideways up to 30kts from the direction of the refinery, mostly gray and brown with intermitant rainbowed slicks.

trisherina 03-05-2009 02:34 AM

I tell you, I'll be pissed if I find you've been sending people to their doom again.

zero 03-05-2009 05:06 AM

trisharama you're making the situation worse! this is a serious matter - mo's been lost in her oregons for 36 hours with nothing but hers wind-report clipboard for comfort. and to make matters worse brynn's earlier wind-report from that environs states that it's a cold, black one laced with pins. and it's all my fault.

trisherina 03-05-2009 10:34 AM

I hope you're not responsible for the winds gusting to 60kph overnight and this morning -- the entire world's snowfall has been deposited in graceful yet impenetrable drifts all over the frontisportions of my home.
